Typical seaside old hotel
On the seafront. Walkable to shops etc. Very comfy bed. Parking available at back of hotel...£6 per day!
Very much in need of an update. Windows very difficult to get closed...so quite cold draft. Clean...but quite dusty.

Good value and great location
I really loved my stay. Great hotel and good value for money. Location wise it was amazing, next to the sea side and pier. Just a few minutes walk to the centre and train station with many restaurants nearby. Hotel was clean, comfy with all the facilities required. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended if you are looking for something affordable with great facilities and services. Overall, I genuinely loved my stay soo much.

Friendly staff. A comfy double gave me a double bed, plus a sea view.
The window frames were rotten and need to be double glazed.

Been here many times fantastic hotel centrally located across the road from the beach and the pier, great service great food great entertainment, very clean and tidy staff always so friendly, highly recommended.
We recently arrived and there was a coach booking in who were celebrating a Christmas trip that evening, our dinner was a Christmas dinner which was a great surprise with Christmas hats and crackers Christmas music and great entertainment, well done to the team excellent visit as always see you in January 2025 .

It was quick break for our anniversary built around going to the Congress theatre on the second night.
Old and quirky. Built in the 1800’s. So expected it to be so, but the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Entertainment left much to the imagination…. Meaning could have been better.
Room was excessively hot and we had a very uncomfortable first night. But next day they turned it off for us so our second night was much better. Parking right outside was a bonus. Unfortunately not at the good end of Eastbourne but walking around was very easy as it’s quite flat

Nice stay in Eastbourne
Friendly staff. We had a basic room but for the price we paid it met our expectations. It was spacious and clean. We parked in the hotel car park for £6 which was convenient. Hotel location is very good - right on the see front near the pier and very close to several restaurants. We went to the hotel entertainment who was a singer called Andrew who was very good. Breakfast was good. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.
Hotel is a bit run down in certain areas. The lift is old and small and sometimes you have to wait a long time for it. But for the price we paid we were happy with the hotel.

Value for money for the price we paid
The room overlooked the car park to the rear, however, we had got this for a exceptional rate for our one night stay as we were going to a show at the theatre. The room was clean, basic but served what we needed for a one night stay and overall, with breakfast in was very good value for money.
Breakfast was very good, including black pudding in the Full Breakfast.
The staff were really friendly and the barman was exceptional with his service.
Location was perfect as not far from the theatre we were going to, the main centre and the Pier. The Booking.com advert had said there was free parking but this was not the case so be aware there is a £6 a day charge to park in the hotel car park. As we were staying only one night and had got such a good rate on the room, we didn't challenge this.
The floor boards are a bit creaky and the couple above came back early hours and were walking around for quite a while which woke us up a few times. If we stayed again, would ask for the top floor so as not to have this issue.

Clean tidy hotel. Good food, excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Gradual improvements over the last few years. The main dining room is attractive as is the ballroom. Really enjoyed it except for the toilet paper. Horribly small, thin and not very absorbent!
