Excellent and friendly customer service from all members of staff at reception and at breakfast. Spacious and clean room with good views from the fourth floor. The bed was very comfortable and the extra radiator was very much appreciated. The peeling paintwork in the room needs some attention. A coffee machine with options such as cappuccino/latte/mocha would have been a nice addition to breakfast. I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.

The sea view was wonderful. It also included a view of that wonderful English stalwart, The Pier. In this particular case, it was of course the Eastbourne Pier. And the sunsets were truly breathtaking. The hotel is redolent of the days of Queen Victoria. And, like any grand old lady, it is showing it's age, here and there. But in the most charming manner. In the particular room I stayed in, the towel rail was not on and there was no obvious way of turning it on. And it was on what was reported as one of the coldest nights here in the UK in 15years! So whilst i was able to plug in the two heaters in the bedroom as soon as you went into the bathroom it was Freezing. I reported this to the regular receptionist, and she kindly asked maintenance to come up and fix it. But for the next 2 days of my stay, the maintenance man remained a mystery. The bathroom remained an ice box. The staff in the restaurant, Natalie and Marcus.are always very nice and helpful. Which makes dining there pleasant. Also the food is consistently good and tasty.

Close walk to the seaside. Easy walk to town centre. The bathroom had mould around the bath.
The TV was small for the size of the room.

I simply required a bed and a shower to stay in overnight. This was the cheapest room on offer at £24 and to be fair, it delivered.
The Burlington I imagine was beautiful in its day, but is now looking very tired in need of some TLC.
Located opposite The Pier gave a lovely setting.
The room was clean and tidy. Fresh towels laid out and tea and coffee was provided. The Staff were friendly and the room was warm.
A bargain overall. Would definitely stay again for that price.

Location was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of things to eat. Room was acceptable and the bed was very comfortable. Sea view was lovely 😍 The tiny lift so I used the stairs. The room was a bit too warm for my liking. The curtains were not the best fitting. Only 1 toilet roll.

Great value for money comfortable and clean. It was very cheap to stay and the room was clean and great for what we wanted. There was an awful noise every 30 seconds from plumbing we imagine however at 2am staff moved us to the other end of the hotel. Where there was no noise and the room was lovely.

The building is listed and although the inside has been decorated the outside and window area hasn't. Not a pleasant sight out of the windows. Birds land on the window sills often. The windows are old style sash ones and cannot be opened. Curtains were too small to keep out the light.
Dining room cold and evening meal looked as thought it had been brought in, not cooked in house.

Would not recommend standard accommodation. Damp ceiling in the bathroom horrendous noise when putting on the light. Rep Location. Know where to get coffee or tea during the day until 3.pm.
Good areas to sit but unless the restaurant is open you can’t get tea or coffee until 3.pm when the bar opens.

A lovely hotel, great location and value. Rather dated and not the cleanest, eventhough my room was lovely. Food served is of a poor quality.

If I’m honest it’s a bit of a dive from the outside, especially from the back, and so is the reception. But the room, with the sea view was lovely. Clean, good shower, quiet. Would recommend for a weekend away.

Great location, beautiful views, cold room The location was excellent and the view from the lobby excellent. The staff were very, very helpful. The heating was insufficient. There was no heat in the room upon arrival and even after several hrs the temporary oil radiator had not warned the room. Thank god there was an old but very warm blanket in the cupboard or I would have been sleeping somewhere else.

The shower was also a little rough but for the price fair.
