I've no real complaints I'm glad I was on the first floor It is well positioned for transport in the town centre and it it's more than a bed and breakfast but not quite a hotel. I appreciated the lift and while there was no restaurant or breakfast option it's not a problem because there are plenty of eating places a couple of minutes away. A surprise was the free wifi was only available in the lounge and while it was okay as a sole traveller I spend most evenings on the Internet in my room. Had I known it was only available in the lounge I might not have booked. Like most places now the lighting in the internal corridor was on a detector beam and could have come on a little sooner and lasted a little longer.
The hot tap in the on the basin was loose but this didn't affect its operation. Being in the building industry I'm a bit picky but hot water was absolutely scalding. While the TV worked fine I got the feeling the remote control probably needed new batteries but that's about all

For the price we paid for our twin room, the experience was 5 star at 3 star prices. Room was clean and had everything we needed. All the staff we had dealings with were super friendly, helpful, cheerful and polite.
If you're looking for a budget stay this is an excellent choice.
We were vising Eastbourne for my niece's hen do, and only used the actual room, so can't comment on the food, as we were too hungover to attempt to eat.
It's directly across the road from the pier and beach, but amazingly quiet.
Thank you for an amazing stay.

Average Looked really good in pictures. Plenty of storage. Although the room was clean the bed appeared to be very old and stained around the base. The shower bi-fold door was rusty at the bottom and collapsed when I tried to open it. The soap dispenser above the sink was empty. Very niosy fan in bathroom. As we only stayed 2 nights I did mention the door when we left. Paid £128.70 for two nights a month ahead but could have paid only £51 a night the day before we went ??

I got a room on the third floor with the sea view and the view on the pier. I was afraid it would be noisy there in the evening, because of the restaurants and pubs, but it was pretty quiet. I absolutely loved it.

Mixed feelings I like the afton. Comfortable, big rooms and clean. The only thing not happy with is the shower it's a trickle no pressure on it.

. The customer service was what made our trip, the reception man and the gentleman who I think might be the owner were v The property is a beautiful Victorian style building in the very center. It must have been built on the 80’s or 90’s but it was good. The customer service was what made our trip, the reception man and the gentleman who I think might be the owner were very kind, supportive and helpful with our queries - like storing our bicycles for the night. The hotel is very very clean and centric Might need to be refurbished

I was not offered breakfast, I actually thought that was what I booked as I looked for a B & B.
The hotel had a friendly atmosphere, clean, comfortable room, coffee/tea facilities good in the room. Value for money was excellent and would book here again.
