Great stay, great value for money.
Great friendly and helpful staff easy check in, very nice large room, great location, opposite the pier ,near restaurants, bars,city centre, the hotel itself could do with a bit of TLC, but did not affect our stay,the heating in our room didn't work,but once we reported it it was fixed within 15minutes,I would recommend it to anyone great value for money.

Have stayed at the Afton a few times now. It's always clean and tidy. The staff are incredibly helpful, and the location of the hotel is brilliant. The pier is right in front, and the town centre is just behind it.

A nice break for 3 days and enjoyed the entertainment put on by the hotel on 2 evenings.
Decorated well. All staff very friendly and helpful. Handy for town, buses and railway station.
Beds too soft. Very noisy at night with rowdy groups. Seagulls extremely noisy at 4am

Nice hotel in the center of everything in Eastbourne seaside
The staff were so accomodating.
It was a rainy night and we have to vacate the basemant property that we booked previously because I could not stay in a basement apartment.
Staff reception were friendly and smiling all the time!
Great entertainment with a singer most of the weeknights!

A fairly pleasant stay with very basic amenities and services.
Great location. Very close to seafront and just off Terminus road where all the shops and restaurants are located. A good place for someone who just wants a clean place to sleep and will spend most of their waking hours outside.
Not a dislike, nor a problem for me, but the place is a little careworn and could do with a renovation. Place is comfortable and not shabby at all - just very well used! Somebody with higher expectations might think otherwise though.
