There is a beautiful picture of Cuckmere Haven and the Seven Sisters in my room. Really did need photo ID to check in.
Check in process was a little delayed and staff could be more informative about the delay.
There were no breakfast facilities.

The reception staff were really friendly and welcoming. I had a Juliette balcony with sea views and views of the pier. Short walk from pubs, cafes and shops. Lovely king-sized bed and snow white bedding. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Only one thing. Would have liked a rail in the shower to hold onto and a bath mat. Being elderly I would have felt safer.

Lovely hosts, but no breakfasts available. There's a lift in the building as we were on the 3rd floor. Basic hotel with a large lounge area and TV.

Pleasant stay, clean facilities and great location.
The balcony, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, the cleaner in particular was very friendly. The location of the room was conveniently next to the left which helped with luggage transfer.
There were people sitting on the steps to the side entrance. They were very noisy and appeared drunk. It was very noisy at times due to them congregating outside and shouting to one another for long periods.
There was scaffolding in ochre outside our balcony which wasn’t pleasant to look at and disturb the beautiful view.
The hotel wasn’t staffed all the time snd there wasn’t anyone available to ask for a hand towel as no hand towel had been left in the bathroom.

An excellent stay in Eastbourne
A return visit to Afton and I was not disappointed. I had a lovely stay and the staff were again welcoming, helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a brilliant position opposite the pier but also close to the town centre.

Just back from a pleasant 4 night coach trip to the Afton Hotel.Top marks all round. Staff were very friendly and professional. Nice room overlooking the pier. Very happy with food which was very much to our liking. eg: Chicken/Cottage pie/ Roast Pork/ Turkey dinners.
Nice quiet area. Only 5 minutes gets you in to the start of fairly large shopping area. Beacon Centre worth a visit. Royal Hippodrome Theatre has nice shows only about 200yards away Our first visit to Eastbourne very much enjoyer

Friendly staff and location , one or two nights stay price was good for us ,we like it here location is key for us don’t have to drive ,pier and beach just across road, bandstand a short walk a long beach 🏖️, town and shops just around corner a short work , and weather today is amazing sunny 😎 what more could you ask for 🥂
