Yesterday I had a full on day preparing for the Braintree Carnival today.
I had a great 2 weeks holiday in Norfolk, I have been back a week and I am back in my normal routine already. My first week has been great catching up with all my staff and hearing about how plans for this Saturdays carnival in Braintree are taking shape.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life
The care and support of young people, aged 16-40, with life limiting conditions across Essex provided by The J’s Hospice has been recognised nationally as a model of good practice in a new publication, ‘Stepping Up’, from Together for Short Lives. The guide aims to ensure that all young people and their families have a positive experience of growing up and making a good transition from children to adult services.
