there and for anyone on a budget there are a few very good ones, they even beat a lot of the paid for versions!
The top contender is AVIRA. It has one of the highest detection rates, topping all of them but unfortunately lets itself down on the number of false positives it finds. However still a great product for free.
Other good free products are AVAST and AVG. If you don’t want to spend money on virus software any of the 3 on this page would be better than nothing.
