The event will be held at The County Ground in aid of the Somerset Pavilion Appeal on Thursday July 24th and will feature guest speaker Geoff Miller O.B.E. and guest auctioneer Lord Archer.

Chief Executive Guy Lavender said: ‘I am delighted that Geoff Miller and Lord Archer have agreed to help us with our fundraising efforts for the Somerset Pavilion. As a former international selector and player, there is little Geoff doesn’t know about the game. I have heard him speak on a number of occasions and he is enormously funny, knowledgeable and entertaining.

Lord Archer has enjoyed a life long passion for Somerset County Cricket Club and we are most grateful for his support and attendance. This will be a fantastic evening and not to be missed so please do come along and book early to avoid disappointment!”

The event will begin with a drinks reception at 7pm which will be followed by a sumptuous 4 course dinner and a special auction that will feature a number of “money can’t buy” lots.

Tickets are just £45 + VAT for Members, £50 + VAT for Non Members and £450 + VAT for a table of 10.

The dress code for this landmark event is Black Tie.

The Somerset Pavilion Appeal was launched with one vital aim: to raise funds for a stunning new development which will take Somerset County Cricket Club to the next level both on and off the field.

The new facility will comprise high-quality covered seating behind the bowlers arm, alongside a large bar and entertainment area, high-quality corporate/media facilities and a magnificent roof top viewing area.

Work on the Somerset Pavilion is expected to commence at the end of the 2014 season and once completed the new building will bring the ground to the standard required to host International cricket.
