If you’re looking to have a new conservatory erected or new windows installed, you may have come across companies that are TrustMark accredited.

What is TrustMark??  Not having this accreditation does not automatcally make companies or tradesmen unsuitable or rogue traders, indeed far from it.  What it does mean is that anyone who has gained accreditation has gone through the process of having their work independently checked and has a code of conduct to adhere to. This gives prospective customers a level of security and a recommendation that you are getting a reputable trader who is good at what they do.

There are nine main benefits for using a trader with TradeMark endorsement:

  1. The technical skills of those working for the firm have been independently checked. Assessments are carried out on a regular basis through on-site inspections as well as examinations being carried out on the trading record and financial status of the company in question.
  2. All firms wishing to be part of TradeMark have to sign a code of practice which states that the company must have proper insurance in place and good health and safety practices as well as high levels of customer care.
  3. The approved scheme operator has not only checked the firm’s quality of work, customer satisfaction and trading practice but they will continue to do so to ensure the company is maintaining standards.
  4. In order for a firm to become part of TradeMark, they have to be able to offer an Insurance Backed Warranty for the work they complete.
  5. The firms must also have Deposit Protection Insurance to safe guard their client’s money in case the worst should happen and they have to cease trading.
  6. The company must tell their clients if there are any building regulations that the proposed work must comply with as well as being able to provide certificates to show that the work done meets the regulations.
  7. There must be a clear and easy to use complaints procedure in place to deal with any problem or disagreement with the firm with people on hand to help resolve the issue.
  8. The TradeMark Scheme is fully backed and supported by the building industry and consumer protection groups as well as the government.
  9. All of the above mean that the company bearing the TradeMark logo have gone through checks that mean you have peace of mind regarding the quality and reliability of the work carried out by these companies.

If you’re looking for a reliable company to come and install new windows or give you extra living space by building a conservatory then look no further than Taunton Windows and Conservatories. Thye have been through the TrustMark process so you can be sure of the quality of work you will receive, even before you pick up the phone!
