Law firm offers ‘innovative’

product to protect businesses

A SOMERSET law firm has recently (July, 2012) found that many companies in the county are lacking the correct legal support they need and have left themselves unprotected.

Pardoes Solicitors in Taunton surveyed more than 500 businesses in the South West and found that many would benefit from professional assistance but often found it too expensive.

Maeve Vickery, Partner and Head of Commercial and Employment at Pardoes Solicitors, which has an office at Creech Castle, said: “We carried out some research recently on small and medium sized businesses and found that lots don’t have the right legal help in place and are wasting money on inadequate protection. Around 90% of those we surveyed did not realise they were unprotected and potentially putting their businesses at risk.

“To help, we have created a revolutionary new product to help address this problem. Plan gives business owners access to the right legal help and provides them with peace of mind.

“Plan is an innovative and unique legal and HR product that allows businesses to have access to a full legal and HR service for £150 (plus vat) per month.”

The fee gives a business access to 12 hours of legal services during a 12 month period to use however they wish. The legal services provided by Pardoes include: employment advice, commercial property guidance, HR assistance, help with commercial disputes, company commercial work and company secretarial support.

Maeve continued: “Plan is designed to give focused individual support in relation to specific businesses, it is not one size fits all. Its unique design gives businesses the flexibility and protection that they require from legal services.

“We believe that Plan offers a unique service. There are many other providers that offer employment, HR or health and safety retainers but no one offers a full commercial legal services package with HR.
