It takes two to tango! The Brewhouse Theatre & Arts Centre welcomes Tango! Tango!, a show by the award-winning musician and author Justin Pearson, to its stage on Friday 21 September at 7.45pm. The show completely sold out in its London West End run and promises to transport its audience into the world of Buenos Aires and that strictly passionate, and most intimate, of dances the tango. The great genius of the medium, Astor Piazzolla. is depicted as a passionate composer, an outsider who fought, connived and survived for his music. Alongside actor Patrick Lannigan, are five great musicians – Tango Volcano (“These guys are magnificent!" BBC London Radio) and dancers Richard Manuel and Maria Solero. The melancholy voice of the bandoneon provides the authentic sound of the tango, and includes some of the great tangos from the Golden Era. Tango carries with it a sexy and sophisticated image and has evolved from the many salons both in Argentina and abroad. This thriving underworld dances through the night in hidden clubs but in this show, explodes with colour and movement that is simply irresistible. Tickets cost £12.50 - £17.50 with concessions available. For more information and to book tickets contact The Brewhouse Box Office on 01823 283244 or visit www.thebrewhouse.net.
