This years Christmas lights switch on in Wellington is set to have a traditional flavour. The celebrations are scheduled for Saturday the 27th of November. The entertainment starts at 4.15pm with the arrival of Santa to his grotto. This will be followed by a performance by the Wellington Majorettes and a Christmas procession. Song sheets will be handed out so all the family can join in the singing around the 25ft tree. The official switch on will be at 5.30pm by Major Cllr Andy Govier.
