Taunton Town have announced a change in structure at board level. Facilities Director Brian Pollard will also now assume the role of vice-chairman, and he will form an executive board alongside chairman Kevin Sturmey and company secretary Andy Power.

This development is aimed at allowing the club to become more responsive and to improve the general effectiveness of day to day management and decision-making. Chairman Kevin Sturmey remarked: “As a board we recognise the importance of reacting to the ever changing football and business world. Brian, Andy and I work closely together already and it was at the suggestion of another Director that this group was formed.

Having a group of three will allow us to make decisions quicker when the need arises; however the whole Board will be aware of our intentions at all times. I am also delighted that Brian has agreed to become Vice-Chairman which will strengthen our board structure.” Former Supporters’ Club chairman Andy Cload has been appointed an Associate Director with specific responsibility for the clubhouse and event management. Cload commented:” I am immensely proud to be appointed as an associate director at the club. As a fan, to be given such a role at what is an extremely exciting period in Taunton Town’s history is an honour and one I will not take lightly.

I believe that with the developments taking place at the club, it is going in the right direction and I’m looking forward to playing a part in the club’s future successes.”
