Had a lovely family meal for a large number of people. With two course been brought to us and carvery to collect, would have been better to have 2 veg stations at the carvery as it slowed as we met the other side.
The food was very tasty and they were quite happy to get smaller potions for a toddler.
Would consider going for Sunday lunch with the family when special occasions occur.

Depends what you are looking for , if you want to be crammed into seating where it is impossible to get out without disturbing everyone around, and if you have a table by the window you would be freezing on colder nights . Food is very good and good value for ticket price . If you can put up with above this is the place for you.

We were at a WI Literary Lunch at Oake Manor Golf Club, what a beautiful setting. If I played golf I would want to join. Our meal was very good even though there were 250 of us, everyone at our table said it was excellent. The staff were helpful and polite even though a waiter tipped half a jug of water down me she was full of apologies, I soon dried out in the sunny conservatory. Our speaker was brilliant and the company good fun. So a great day out.

My 3rd. visit in a s many years and the standard is as good as ever. Lovely food, efficient, well-trained staff,
clean and organized. A large choice of meats & vegetables and vegetarian options too. Nice desserts and tea and coffee is included in a 2 or 3 course meal. Well-staffed bar and comfortable chairs.

The food at Oak Manor is good if you want to pop out for a bite to eat after work and you can't be bothered to cook. The menu is fairly varied with the traditional burgers, chips, toasted sandwiches, currys and the old favourites like ham, egg and chips. Plenty of seating and what makes this an enjoyable visit is the calm and tranquil setting of sitting outside watching people play golf. Summer evening, pint of beer - enough said.

Visited last night for a Madness Tribute night, the tribute band were fantastic taking us all right back our youth.
We had been told that the ticket price included a buffet, we did not expect a full sit down hot meal a choice of chicken curry, Somerset pork and apple casserole or beef stroganoff - plus seconds if you wanted it.
I shall be looking at coming back for other tribute nights and to enjoy the fantastic food and wonderful surroundings.
The young staff behind the bar and clearing tables were absolutely brilliant and a credit to Oake Manor, it is very rare that you see hard working, polite and courteous youngsters however there were plenty here.

This place has really got the tribute night out thing sorted, great entertainment with a meal included in the ticket. Beyonce and Adele were excellent. Booked up for Dolly Barton/Kenny Rogers next, yeehaw!

The last time I came to Oake Manor it was for the wedding of my good friends Tim and Kim.
This time was for the Christmas dinner of the post stroke / aphasia group. We were offered a choice of starter, main and pud, plus coffee afterwards. I, being a bit retro had the prawn cocktail as did my wife, not a tiddly little portion in a champagne glass but a good sized portion on a plate. Main was a simple choice of turkey or beef, both excellent and served with great roasties and a traditional accompanying veg and very good gravy. Pudding was a choice of individual Christmas pud or, my choice the biggest, excellent trifle I have ever been offered. The waiting staff are professional and pleasant, Oh! the bar as well as serving excelent, we'll kept beer also serves wine including Prosecco by the glass. Well done Oake Manor.

This has to be one of the best value parties that I have every been too. It consisted of a four course meal followed by hot drinks and mince pies. The main dinner a was a carvery, which meant that you could eat as much as you liked and they were very generous on the meat. Would use and recommend this venue.

I can't thank Ginny and her staff enough for the splendid birthday party they helped me organise at Oake Manor recently. Living in Cornwall, but organising a birthday tea for friends and relatives from Somerset/Dorset/Wiltshire and beyond was all achieved via e-mails and telephone calls. Our welcome was warm and efficient and the afternoon went like clockwork with an amazing tea (and discreet tea/coffee service provided at individual tables - thank you). This is an extremely busy time of year for any catering establishment, but the staff at Oake Manor managed to make me feel as though my party was special to them and my friends all commented on how much they had enjoyed the afternoon. Despite being on crutches, and with a broken leg - a special birthday to remember! Thank you again, Ginny.

Had lunch here recently with friends. We all had the roast which was excellent. Our Grandson aged two asked for ice cream for desert and the waitress supplied it in a penguin casing which made his day. This was a lovely gesture which was part of excellent service by our waitress. Good food together with superb service made for a great day. The golf course is also one of my favorites

Organised a day's golf with breakfast prior to play. All my party enjoyed the meal but some said it took 5 or 6 holes to get going as there was so much.
Thanks to the Chef who with his staff gave excellent service and to the golf staff for helping to make an enjoyable experience all round. Will be back soon.

We ate here having played in a golf competition in which we found the course in perfect condition. Very friendly staff in the Pro's shop as well.
After golf we had a lunch in the restaurant - all served to the table. A great choice of things to have - particularly the desserts. Very reasonably priced day out.

I attended a function at this venue today. With over 50 people to deal with the staff managed to keep the service going smoothly. The choice of menu was excellent and the meals served were of a high quality.
If you are looking for a good meal at a reasonable price in a superb venue this is the place for you. Especially when it is possible to get 'Two for the price of one'.

a good selection of veg to go with the carvery all very nice ,but let down by the portion of meat served to go with it .
i chose the beef and was served a very small childs portion of slivers of beef rather than slices as you would expect at a carvery,so at £10 a head not that good value for money.
perhaps i should have asked for a bit more ,but not everyboy likes to make a fuss at the front of a queue of people..
