I took my wife out to lunch, where upon we had a lovely lunch.
The meal come out to our table and plenty on the plate.

Had visitors drop in on us today so decided to take them out for lunch. As we have been to Oake Manor Golf Club for meals on several occasions and been well satisfied with the quality and quantity of the food we decided that this would be the ideal venue and believe me today's lunch was everything we had expected and more. Well worth calling in if you are in the area, even better if golf is your calling.

I have started using this venue for the running of training course. Excellent facilities and attentive staff. A large room giving delegates plenty of sace to participate fully. 2 course meal for lunch as opposed to the normal sandwich platter at siilar places. Prices are reasonable and the service has been great so far.

Visited recently for a themed evening event. Very busy, buffet was ok, however I know the usual daytime and evening fare is sooo much better. But when you are only paying £12 for food and entertainment what can you expect. Usually we visit midweek for lunch and the food is usually excellent, evenings it is a popular venue for lots of events and we will be going again.

Visited twice now for tribute bands on a Saturday night. My overall view is excellent, food very good, staff hard working and never seem to stop and are very polite/welcoming.
I feel this place will become more and more popular so booking in advance may become a necessity.

Off the main Taunton to Wellington road - take Bradford-on-Tone turn off and continue quite some way towards Oake. Oake Manor Golf Club on your right hand side. Very clean and smart restaurant with plenty of seating. Most meals are 2 for 1.
We took our relatives there for their anniversary and they were very impressed. Plenty of choice on their menu. Three of us had the roast of the day, we asked for "softer" vegetables - which is what we got. Home cooked roast potatoes too. We were all very pleased with the portion size and the tasty well cooked food. My husband had the cod, chips and peas which he thoroughly enjoyed. Delicious looking desserts, but three just had ice-cream (3 scoops and a wafer). Waiting staff were excellent and attentive.

You must book, especially on a Sunday, go for the 12 midday sitting as then it gets into long queues from 1pm onwards, best carvery I have ever had, ever! Also great for special evenings, we attended a Molin Rouge evening with Carvery and roulette recently, wow, it was a great night, brilliant price! They do lots of tribute nights, wakes as they are next door to Oake Church, and Weddings.

We drove up from Frome,Somerset and booked a nearby B & B as a Birthday treat for me to see the Bee Gees Tribute. We went to have a meal at lunchtime at a pub as we thought for £12 a Ticket it would just be finger food or nibbles. We were really surprised to find there was hot food [4 main choices] plus rice, chips, poppadoms and salad. I am Gluten Free and allergic to onions and most of the dishes were Gluten Free but contained onions. I asked if I could just have chips and salad, but the chef offered to get me some lovely sliced ham, we thought this was exceptional.
The whole night was amazing and we so enjoyed it, there is a big screen in the huge dining room so my husband was able to sit and watch the show while I went down to the stage to get closer. Fantastic night with great atmosphere and wonderful value for money, if ONLY we had this in Frome.

A good daytime menu, with a lot of variety and a decent amount of fish and vegetarian dishes as well as meat. The food is generally of good quality, too.
However, a word of warning- the portions (especially of the chips and fries) are pretty big, so order with caution!

Played today as a 4 ball. Easy to find just off M5 near Taunton. Warm welcome on arrival, and enjoyed bacon bap & coffee in the club house... Again warm welcome friendly service. Practice on range then on with business on the course..... Course in great condition - fairways generous in part but rough sometimes punishing! A good test of golf. Bunkers well maintained with plenty of sand and lightning fast greens. Lots of water around some of the holes! Picturesque setting and good but challenging course layout. Coffee in clubhouse after golf,again friendly service. Brilliant day and many thanks to Oake manor making our 4 ball welcome and for a well maintained course....definitely on the 'return visit' list!

Have been coming here for many years but last Sunday wasn't great, service was average and the meal it's self was sub standard, the cauliflower was covered in a cheese sauce but not baked,why? The only option to have beef was red, no option of well done or it offered and the potatoes the worst I've seen, not even crispy and one of mine in the middle was black. Desserts were nice tho

We went to Pop legends night with live singers and disco after they finished.
For the £12 ticket price you also got a sit down meal which was good all in all it was a very good night and we shall go again at some time well done Oak Manor keep it up.

Visited last night for the pop legends night, the tribute acts were fantastic..
We had been told that the ticket price included a buffet, we did not expect a full sit down hot meal a choice of turkey curry, beef stew. vegetarian curry, plus seconds if you wanted it.
I shall be looking at coming back for other tribute nights and to enjoy the fantastic food and wonderful surroundings.

Once a year five former colleagues meet for luncheon at Oake Manor to catch up with our retirement news. We are always impressed with the food selection and service which is why we have returned year after year. Reasonably priced in a pleasant environment.

We booked late for a last minute family get-together! This was our first visit - staff, food, surroundings and location superb. Will definitely return. Could not fault anything even though it was a Sunday lunchtime and they were very busy.

If you like Carvery food then this restaurant will please you with its well cooked food and generous helpings. The restaurant is attractive with a beautiful golf club backdrop. I've eaten there about half a dozen times, only ever visiting on a Sunday lunchtime. And that's probably been the issue, this place is a victim of its own success. It is highly popular and they can take a lot of people. Inevitably a large open area with a lot of people, usually in large groups, generates a lot of noise. And I find that uncomfortable.
It is to the absolute credit of the management and staff that they keep the system flowing at good pace and provide a very high standard of service. If you wat to celebrate with a group this restaurant gives good quality food at reasonable prices. If you want an intimate peaceful meal don't go for Sunday lunch. But I'll be going back to celebrate with family in July. For Sunday lunch. Possibly with ear plugs :)

Went here for St Georges day 3 course dinner and entertainment.
Starter of prawn cocktail was lovely,also carvery and dessert,with coffee to follow.
