This is my 3rd or 4th visit and my 3rd review. I just love this place. Went on friday night to celebrate my birthday.
Table always pre booked so no worries there, lovely meal with a good choice and the staff serving are lovely. In fact all the staff are polite and helpful, this is how all places should be.
The Beached Boys ( Beach Boys tribute band) were playing and I thought they were fantastic, will definitely go again when they are playing.
The dining area is superb with lovely views over the golf course. I just can't fault it!

Went here for Sunday lunch with friends, staff were polite, friendly and efficient, the food was very nice and for the price excellent, 3 courses for £14.95

We go here very once in a while for lunch because food and service is always consistently good and very reasonable value. It's a busy golf club, but the bar area has pleasant views and is reasonably quiet most of the time, so while not quite as charming or romantic as some pubs, well worth a visit. Mum n Dad also enjoy it. They cater for functions and having attended a couple in the past, can also recommend.

Been here a couple of times and this time to take my older Mum for lunch. Polite, willing staff, friendly chefs, and well cooked food. The Sunday lunch menu is a fixed price so its well worth spoiling yourself with a desert for a coupleof extra pounds. This is a large dining area but its popular so book ahead.

Set within a golf course with views of the Blackdown Hills A calm & well appointed restaurant , Good food served with a smile , A good menu to cover all tastes . I will be sure to visit again

Spacious eating area. Friendly staff. Quality lunchtime snacks at very reasonable price. Great rib eye steak sandwich with plenty of trimmings. Lovely views and great decor. This is a lovely place with large parking area.

As father of the bride .Oake manor was booked for her wedding & reception .Could not have made a better decision as we had excellent surrounding,service & the food was plentiful & perfectly cooked and presented .With plenty of choice & excellent quality. All the guest have told me how impressed they were by the food and excellent service from all the staff. The rooms were tastefully decorated in my daughter's choice of wedding colours & were much admired by all .I would recommend Oake manor to all that want a well managed wedding & reception from booking to the end of the wedding day .The wedding team were great . Many thanks to Louise for all her hard work before & on the day. For making my daughter's wedding day a day she will remember with only good memories . [proud dad ]

I had looked on the website for this restaurant, which featured a very acceptable menu and carvery, so I booked a table and looked forward to a very good lunch. We were somewhat surprised to find that on Sundays, the restaurant only does a carvery, although there was a starters menu and a sweet trolley. The room was huge and various celebrations around us meant the noise levels were extremely loud. The carvery was so-so, to be honest. We shall return during the week sometime as the online menu looked very appetising !!

Lovely location seated next to the golf course. Staff all very friendly and table was clean and ready for us after pre-booking Sunday lunch.
Food was o.k however for the £10.00 we spent two slices of meat from a small joint is not the best value carvery around. The deserts were very good especially as homemade however we would not normally have room after a carvery.

Family gathering of 6 after a round of Golf. Table booked in Restaurant, where we received excellent all round service. A busy day as there was a 60th Birthday celebration in an adjoining function room. However, this did not impact on service with main courses arriving in good time after order, which was all well presented and of good quality with ample veg and side dishes. The desserts were delicious and the Puro coffee superb. Some of us went for the 2 for 1 lunch offer for mains which represented excellent value for money. I understand that SundayLunches are fantastic and often filled to capacity.

The service was preceded by drinks in the opulent bar of the club, the service itself was conducted in a spacious conservatory, the reception was held in the adjacent dining room. The meal and the manner in which it was served by the excellent staff were beyond reproach. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue for any large function or small intimate dinner for two, you will be treated as an honoured guest.

The carvery here is always a good choice if you are looking for a group or family get-together. The Puddings are a big favorite too, service is OK and it can get busy so do book

I visited Oake Manor at lunchtime last week, together with my husband. The bar area was full of golfers and there several tables of diners eating from the restaurant menu. We ordered drinks from the bar and were immediately approached by a waitress who said she'd prepare a table for us. Our order was taken very quickly and arrived within reasonable time, considering how many diners there were. The food was hot, tasty, and very reasonably priced. There was a good choice of meals available on both the bar and restaurant menus. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and we always enjoy eating here.

We were very impressed with this venue the 1st time we visited and were saying it probably wouldn't live up to what we were now expecting, but it did...big time. We even had the same table which was great.
The food is fantastic, as much or as little as you want, we had the beef and mushrooms in red wine and it was delicious.
Everything is so well organised and the staff, all young, just make it such a great evening. I don't know who hires them but they are absolutely fantastic and deserve praise for how they manage everything. They look smart and are very efficient, my only gripe would be that I can't read their names as I would like to be able to pass on what excellent service we had. ( My eyesight is rubbish)

For the price can't really grumble, but have had many better carverys in the local area in much better surroundings. Staff are very helpful.

I have just returned from my second visit to Oake Manor Golf Course where we (a group of 46) had an amazing Christmas lunch. Cooked and prepared beautifully and served well and with a smile and attention. We were there earlier in the summer and it was just the same. I have not been in a smaller group but I imagine that would be as good. Anyone looking for a venue for a larger group - this is the place to go.

Christmas party we were all packed in like sardines on extremley long tables hardly no room to move, I think they were being far too greedy by getting as many people in as they possibly could.

This is a venue that must not be missed. The setting, the ambience and the quality of the food would be hard to beat. On the many visits made by me and my husband, whether in a large group or just as a couple we have never been disappointed.

Then came the sweet trolley with lots of choice. At least a dozen different puddings and all served with either double or clotted cream. I would certainly recommend Oake Manor.

Wow, where do I start? I booked this a few months ago as The Sounds of Simon were playing ( I love them) so bought 2 tickets.
When they arrived it said that the evening also included a buffet. We got there early as wasn't sure what to expect as hadn't been there before.
We were shown to a table and were very pleased with where we had been allocated, wasn't expecting to have our own table tho, we were then told that the meal was ready and couldn't believe that we had such a good choice of hot meals. We both went for the Chicken curry, very tasty and having expected sandwiches and sausage rolls was a very welcome change.
Drinks were very reasonable, the venue was very clean and staff were absolutely brilliant. When clearing tables after eating they were polite and quick, and also when clearing at the end, very unobtrusive.
Can't wait to visit again, I don't know how they do it for the price, £10 per ticket, lovely meal and fantastic entertainment. First rate, thank you Oake Manor xx
