The Quay Theatre is a jewel in Sudbury’s crown, small but perfectly formed. Sitting by the River Stour in a converted 18th-century warehouse, it’s one of the town’s most loved arts venues, offering a warm and welcoming space for live performance, music, comedy and film.
This month there’s plenty to enjoy. The much-loved Ghostbusters hits the big screen, and Eastern Angles return with their popular production Teechers, a witty and energetic play about life in a secondary school. The panto is already proving a hit too and runs into the new year, the perfect way to keep the festive spirit alive when the January blues set in.
For something different, the Quay is also part of Cinema Live, showing special screenings including the new John Cleese documentary, which is only being shown in select small theatres across the country.
Whether you fancy theatre, film or live music, the Quay Theatre continues to be a vital part of Sudbury’s cultural life.
