Don't forget The Taste of Sudbury

The sun will be shining so get yourselves down Market Hill in Sudbury to sample some the town's local tasty delights

It will be a jam (no pun intended) packed day, with a full programme of events and lots of exhibitors both outside and in St Peter's Church.

Some of the demonstations running throughout the day include:

 

  • Gainsborough House will be hosting a Georgian cooking demonstration and talk by Nick Trustram-Eve from The Copper Pot.
  • Alan Paton, Award winning Executive Head Chef of the Stoke By Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa will be doing a cookery demonstration from 11:30am
  • Regis Crepy, from  The Great House in Lavenham
  • Nick Barrett from Scutchers in Long Melford
  • David Innes from The Jolly Meat company will be cutting up a lamb
  • Chandramauli (known as Mauli), Head Chef, Black Lion Hotel & Restaurant, Long Melford

Plus, there will be arts and crafts for the little ones in the Honey Bee cafe on Goal Lane and a strawberry fayre at the Rude Strawberry on Friars Street.

Sudbury's Community Health Centre will be showcasing the entries from their art competition. This was held to find an original piece of work to reside at the centre of the Health Centre.

So, don't mope around, sobbing over England's swift exit from the World Cup. Come eat and drink some of the wonderful food, beer and wine we have on offer in and around Sudbury

Finally, don't forget BBC Radio Suffolk will be at event. Presenter Lesley Dolphin is asking for your donations of cakes to help raise money for Suffolk Family Carers
