We’re bringing back a campaign that’s close to my heart. When I first launched thebestof Sudbury, the Buy Local campaign was at the centre of everything I did. It’s simple, really. The more we spend with local businesses, the more money stays in Sudbury, creating jobs, supporting families and keeping our town centre thriving.
Starting on the week of 29th September, I’ll be walking around Sudbury town centre and the business parks with my Buy Local stickers. I’ll be meeting business owners, taking a quick photo with them, and sharing their stories on social media. At the end of each week, I’ll publish a blog round-up, highlighting all the brilliant businesses I’ve visited. I hope it will encourage people to support the local businesses right on our doorstep.
This isn’t just about shopping, though. Sudbury is full of independent retailers, service providers, trades, cafés, and professional firms. Every one of them plays a part in our local economy, and together they make our town a better place to live and work.
