If you’re one of very few super-prepared people who get Christmas sorted months ahead, you may want to be extra wary as the daylight hours shorten.
Having your house filled with gifts (some of which may be expensive) can be an absolute gold mine for thieves if they choose to burgle your home, and they won’t think twice about clearing you out no matter how close it may be to Christmas. Be sure to set your house up with an alarm to keep yourself protected, and store any gifts away out of view (especially in bungalows!)
As we draw ever closer to winter, we find it gets darker and darker when we leave work at the end of the day. For those of you that have to commute to work by bus, tram, train, or even walking, keep your valuables protected by having them out of sight. If possible store your purses, wallets, phones and other valued items in inside pockets so that, should your bag be stolen, you don’t lose everything at once.
The run up to Christmas can be stressful enough without being burgled or mugged, and having to replace precious items, so be smart in the dark and keep your valuables protected!
