Mayoral and Local Elections for Dummies
OK. So this is happening people! You may not agree with it, but it’s happening and, if like me, you haven’t got much of a clue as to who should have your vote in today’s elections, here’s a few tips and pointers that might help.
The polls opened at 7am this morning and close at 10pm tonight. This will be Salford’s first directly-elected mayor. There are ten candidates altogether and whoever is voted in will stay as mayor for 4 years. This means that you need to be confident that the person you vote for will bring the most good to Salford as they’re here for the long haul.
