An impressive skill that has been showcased by several artists is the use of typewriters to create images. Afterall, they’re still beautiful and quirky pieces of machinery, so why not put them to good use rather than discard them in place of laptops?
On this course you will get the opportunity to experiment with several different types of typewriters to explore mark making, and to turn text into images. This is very much inspired by artist’s use of text recently, and perhaps with the likes of the Salford Type Foundry popping up locally to celebrate all things typed!
