With many big names being linked to Salford over the past few months since Koukash’s takeover, fans are waiting patiently for some exciting signings. Koukash also claims that with the squad he plans to create for Salford next season, it will be ‘hell’ for other teams to face them.
Salford’s owner has also recently announced that he will be changing the teams name back to the ‘Red Devils’ for next season, a title which many fail to recognise that Salford Reds had before Manchester United. It’s nice for longstanding fans to see that Koukash is recognising the team’s heritage, and incorporating it into the future of the club.
Coach Brian Noble states that the Reds have a long way to go before they start winning any titles, but he believes that they can certainly get to that point in the future. With Koukash aiming to spend the full salary cap next year and possibly more, it seems there could be a really exciting future for the Reds!
