The opening of MediaCityUK has worked wonders for The Quays and local people. It is one of many staples of a wonderfully regenerated area that seemed to have died when the docks closed in 1982. Not only has MediaCityUK breathed new life but it has also provided ample work opportunities for the people of Salford.
So, following up on one of the first and largest urban regeneration projects in the United Kingdom, MediaCityUK has delivered again and again – and again. This time, it comes in the form of Salford Media Festival taking place on 21st and 22nd November. At this fine event, the next generation of media professionals are given the chance to gain some valuable experience and learning.
There are master classes, panel discussions, practical workshops and screenings – all of which are available to the next generation! Media Titans such as the BBC, ITV and The Royal Television Society will be there to lend their expertise and wisdom.
This is such a fantastic opportunity for people looking to get into the media business. It is a chance to make some friends in the right places and gain some truly invaluable knowledge in the process.
