At the time of year, it's easy to see young people at their worst. I had teenagers knocking on doors and running away for Halloween - until I actually looked out of the window. Then they ran away.
There's bound to be stories of mis-use of fireworks this weekend (and that won't always be young people!).
But there are lots of teenagers who care about their community. This is their chance to get involved in making a difference.
North Hertfordshire Youth Council is always on the look-out for new voices to listen to.
As long as those of us who are older actually listen to their voices and let them make a difference, this has to be a good thing.
If you know someone between 15 and 19, theres something for them with Youth Connexions: just find out more here.
