Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants

If you have children aged any younger than 20, you'll probably recognise the images created by illustrator and author Nick Sharratt. Until 21 January 2017, you can see more examples of his work at a great exhibition in Hitchin Town Hall.

There's plenty to see and find out about - take your children and remind them of some great characters. My favourite has to be Tracy Beaker.

Budding authors and illustrators could do a lot worse than take a look as Sharratt describes his creative processes.

There's old school pen and pencil and computer so find out how he uses all the tools at his disposal.

Get hands-on and bring out your own creativity.

This exhibition is a great use of the sadly-controversial Town Hall so get along Tuesday to Saturday between 10:30 and 16:30.

You might just have a budding illustrator on your hands!
