Reading Hack is a programme led by young people aged 14 to 24 who do reading activities and volunteering, called hacks, to gain skills and experience.
Hertfordshire Libraries need a group of volunteers to get involved with planning and promoting an event to launch the new Reading Well for Young People’s book collection called “Shelf Help”.
Reading Well for young people is a national scheme, part of the hugely successful Reading Well Books on Prescription scheme, which will provide 13-18 year-olds with high-quality information, support and advice on a wide-range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders and self-harm and difficult life pressures, like bullying and exams.
A group of young volunteers is needed to help plan and promote a launch event in a Hertfordshire Library to showcase this new collection.
The initial correspondence will be via email so you will need access to a computer and an e mail address and be available to answer e mails regarding the launch event between July and September with the launch event happening in Autumn 2016.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and make a difference in your local community so if you would like to be involved or need further information e mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
