This was our third visit to the park and really enjoyed our previous two visits but this time there were fewer big cats (No leopard, snow leopard meant to be there but missing). The dinosaur section is pretty good. There is a new attraction which is not advertised - Wasps! You cannot sit in the eating area without being hounded by groups of wasps. It’s a serious problem and needs to be addressed, there are so many I would think there are nest(s) nearby. It’s ok if you are visiting with children for the first time but hopefully the attractions will improve and the wasp issue is resolved.

The park has various animals in spacious enclosures. There are multiple play facilities including the pool, parks and train ride for kids. Very good value for money.

Been many times before and I always love it. We recently went for the ‘summer nights’ and it was fantastic. I love this zoo, planning to go back for their ‘Dinos after dark’ later on in the year!

Unlike other Zoos / theme parks, every interaction here with staff was pleasant. Felt valued, they took time to listen (not talking amounts themselves or listen to radio) and were polite. Tops marks for customer service.

Dinosaur Park was very impressive as was speedway museum, animal park was disappointing. It is not very accessible with a wheelchair, either narrow paths or high kerbs to navigate, the exit doors were very difficult to manage with a wheelchair, had to hold a button while pushing a heavy metal frame door.

For a relaxed zoo experience this place is perfect. Dinosaur walk through and meet various dinosaurs throughout the day, many animals including tigers and white tiger, monkeys, lemurs, camels, meerkats, red panda, reptiles and exotic birds.
Lagoon area for kids to splash around in on hot days.
Plenty of picnic tables surrounded by play areas.
The food and drink outlets are reasonably cheap, burger or hotdog £4, 2 cappuccinos and a slushy came to £6.
Train ride is £2 but really not worth it, gift shop is extortionate.
We went in August during kids holidays, it was busy but still very comfortable and chilled out.
Definitely recommend this place.

I was quite shocked to find areas of artificial grass and flowers at a place like this. The dinosaurs are fun as is the little train ride, albeit a bit short. Some if the animals seemed quite impoverished and I wasn't that happy that some if them had enough space. The lions and tigers seemed good, but the otter area, for example, was tiny and instead of a nice pond with moving water, they had what equated to a very large bowl, very sad. It was the same price for a 3 year old as an OAP, which I thought was a bit expensive. I won't be rushing back there. I wish they spend some of their money on improving animal conditions.

This place is really decent, has some of the big zoo animals, and plenty of this smaller ones that are of interest.

It justifies the pricing point, which at first I was thinking was quite pricey.

The Jurassic area is quite big with a varied display of dinosaurs, most of which move. That’s a real treat this area, against what usually you get at wildlife places.

Plenty of activity areas, playgrounds and walking places.. in what seems quite a small place. Softplay was quite small, but adequate for kids to let off some steam in.. and steam it will be, as the building it is in was hotter than the sun when we went.

Good food options, and the burgers and chips are actually really good.. and I mean good, for this type of venue it was a real surprise. The chicken was excellent too, and 4 of us at for £31 with drinks too.

Lost a star… the cages for some animals feel small, I’m sure they are fulfilling the standards required, but I just felt they could do with being bigger.

+ and this is more about lazy softplay parenting, but many kids didn’t wear socks, and ran around with ice lollies, turning the softplay into a sticky mess.. so we had to pull our kids out early. Be nice if this was monitored a bit more closely, as some parents do not care in softplay zones and happily ignore their kids whilst they are in them…

They’ve made some nice improvements to the zoo and are continuing too , but does feel a little congested.

Still a major issue with wasps and even the catering staff commented about having to get first aiders the last few days due to people being stung. Lost count of the amount of panicked screams I heard through out the day because of wasps hovering around food areas.

Was a nice day but slightly ruined by abusive people with no manners shouting expletives around young kids because they can’t get past you around the zoo or pushing in queues. Each to their own but was unnecessary.

Also I.T. Issues with tills and customers advised to use another area to make purchases but the actual kiosk wasn’t closed for it to be resolved and people just kept queuing. Was quite frustrating after waiting nearly half an hour to be told to go else where! This is when cashless is a downfall. The joys of technology!

Yes its August and it’s going to be busy but make sure you can cope with the demand. Otherwise it’s not a pleasant visit for your customer!!

Fantastic Lion and Tiger enclosures, better than ZSL in my opinion.

Have and will be back in the future.

They took away the alpaca's!!! One of them died unfortunately, so they took the other one away so they wouldn't be lonely, which is understandable. Literally went to see them and it was my own fault for not confirming they were still there since I last went a few years ago. It was very busy, but it is summer and summer holidays after all. Loads of other animals there. Go see the goats because they looked lonely tbh!

Lovely family day out with our children, didn’t realise there was a small splash pool area so hadn’t packed swimmers - should have gone here first as by the afternoon it was rammed with adults and kids.

This was our first time though the kids had been before, they thoroughly enjoyed all the animatronic dinosaurs, the play areas, fossil areas, show and train ride.

We were grateful there was plenty of shade too as it was a very hot day.

Around the actual Zoo part of the park, the kids enjoyed seeing different animals, we had lunch in a cafe and even the soft play got a look in. Plenty to keep little and not so little ones entertained.

Great place for kids and Adults .
The dinosaurs are brilliant so realistic as they move and make sounds. So much to do and see there is a Zoo, Splash pool, mini golf, speedway museum, two lovely parks, Softplay, shows through the holidays, picnic areas, restaurant and snack shops and you must visit Neil on the dinosaur train. Just a brilliant day out well worth the visit. Plenty of parking

Absolutely fantastic place to visit, the only problem was there wasn't more to do and see. The Safari Diner was expensive, but well worth the price, the staff are friendly and extremely dedicated to what they do. It is a refreshing change to see the staff going around and cleaning after the animals. Arriving early is a must if you want to avoid crowds.
