Fantastic zoo! Visited on a wet Saturday but still had a great time. Staff were all really friendly and happy to answer questions. Loved seeing the tapir baby, capybara babies as well as enjoying lunch with a view of the sun bear up a pole. Sadly didn't see the baby red pandas. If only we didn't live 4 hours away else I would definitely be joining up as a member!

Such a lovely zoo. The animals look great and are well kept and the keepers are lovely, my daughter was ask to help feed the camels. So she was chuffed.

Had a wonderful day out here with my partner for our anniversary. The staff and volunteers were all so friendly and helpful. We were fortunate enough to bump into Peter Sampson and had a long chat with him about Jessie the Snow Leopard. He was so passionate and engaging, it really made our day to have met such an inspirational man.
The enclosures were all wonderful and the animals were all well cared for. I loved the Lemur walk through as well, the keepers were giving a talk which was really interesting and engaging- she kept going even when her mic battery pack cut out! Wonderful day and recommend it highly!

Excellent day out for families of all ages. There are slides & swings, animals, sandpits, splash area, soft play & even Dinosaurs!! It isn't cheap to get in but you can spend the whole day there and not be bored. There are places to get food along with little huts dotted around for snacks & drinks. As expected all the "extras" can be quite expensive so may be worth taking a packed lunch if you want to save money. If it's somewhere you can go regularly it may be worth buying a season ticket like we have, it will save you a fortune. They have a Dinosaur area which is fabulous and has life size roaring dinosaurs which the kids love. Only downside to this area is they make you leave via the gift shop so it may end up costing you a bit extra on toys. Keep your eyes peeled as you may be lucky enough to meet one of the Zoo brothers! Overall a great day for everyone

Visited on a Saturday and it was lovely! Staff were very friendly and there were no crowds. The black and rufous sengi was the highlight of the visit. Would recommended.

great zoo, wide range of animals, farm animals, big cats, bears and the dinosaur world was great alongside paddington being present so it's great for kids. food and drink had a good variety.

Great for the kids lots for them to do, the play area is great for them and there is another in the other part of the zoo! The dinosaurs are impressive and the kids love it however they are starting to show their age a little now with bits of tail missing and just weathering and wearing! It has always been clean and tidy and no complaints there! Food wasn’t great like in many places! The street food vendor we used was slow, didn’t really have any focus on serving people waiting for food or any real urgency, one of the times we had was a hotdog and be warned it comes with tomato sauce, onions and mustard which they will automatically put on unless you tell them, mustard isn’t even advertised on the board telling you what you get with it!
Some of the animal enclosures are looking a little tired now but there are works on going around the park!
Lemur enclosure is good, goats are good for the kids to pet all in all it’s a good day for the kids and wasn’t too busy even though we went on a Sunday!

Parking was easy and plenty. Entry again was easy (I don't like being stamped on my hand but that is personal preference)
Lots of maps around to help with navigation.
The Dinosaurs world was so much fun, I wasn't expecting it to be so much fun but it was and the kids and older kids enjoyed it too!
The actual Zoo is fantastic, so much to see, very clever on space etc. The weather was lovely so I think that helped.
The bird show was really good.
There is a mini play area which is great for the little kids and thet put on a show at different intervals depending on the theme, atm is it Halloween theme.
The restaurant was average in food and price, a tad more than a mds but I would rather eat here and help support the zoo. We had three meals, three drinks which came to just over £43.
Would I return and recommend - yes 🙂

We visited here today, as my little one is obsessed with One Zoo Three..and it was a day to remember! We met Tyler who was so lovely to my son and gifted him a tiger teddy - we were star struck! 🤩 The zoo itself is absolutely brilliant, so much to do and see and the animals are cared for wonderfully - we’ll be returning to soon! The dinosaurs are amazing and the train ride too.

If anyone wants to visit a great zoo this is the one,it’s sad that we have to protect wildlife this way but Hertfordshire Zoo is amazing for the little ones to see the animals up close and start to get a understanding of what’s going on.The staff were very helpful with any questions answered in depth. For anyone interested in dinosaurs there’s a treat 😂probably one of the best dinosaurs walks and our grandson was loving the way they moved and sounded.

Would definitely recommend a visit! We started off with the animals this zoo isn't huge but the use of space in the enclosures is fantastic the animals all seemed really happy and relaxed lots of different viewings angles really shows of the range of options for the animals to relax or explore. The zoo had some work being done in a few sections which shows it's commitment to continuing to improve. We really enjoyed the smaller sun bear cafe but the seating was badly arranged with people's backs to the bear habitat. Adding bar seating around the outside would offer better views and having larger family tables in the middle. We experienced some of the talks of the day which we enjoyed and finished the day with a walk through the dinosaurs

My daughter and I attended and had a really lovely experience. It was a mid-week visit which meant it wasn’t too busy and not overwhelming. She’ll cherish the memories.
