Great little find. I’ve lived in Hertfordshire most of my life and didn’t know this place was here. Took my Gran daughter she’s 4 she loved every minute of it there. We will definitely be going back but on a cooler day.

What an awesome day out, a bit pricey to buy food etc inside but still an amazing zoo with Dino Park and paddling area for kids, again if the prices were better once inside 5* all the way

Easy to book online, lots of parking. Disabled parking available.
My son was excited for seeing tiger. Went back numerous times but could not see any tigers.
Some animals do need bigger enclosures. For example the red panda and zebras
The play park big some parts do look run down.
Lots of animals to see. Great viewing galleries. Lots of places to eat. Entertainment going on.

I had a fantastic visit to Hertfordshire Zoo today. It is clear that a huge amount of thought and effort goes into running the zoo and everything was exceptionally well organised. Nothing about the enclosures struck me as too small, and I came away with a very positive impression of the zoo as a whole.

One of the best interactive dino wslk through ive ever been to. Nice looked after animal enclosures and plenty of places to get good and drink around. Even had a little oasis pool for the kids

Really nice place to spend time with family and friends.. neat and clean facilities. The have soft play area for kids for 45 Mins and need to pre-book the slots.

We came to the zoo on a half term weekend and were presently surprised. Well maintained and lots of things to see and do. The Dinosaur park is very built and really engaging. Although could do with a bit more of an interactive element for kids - especially with school holidays.
The zoo is really great! Lots of amazing big cats. Even though it woul ld be nice if they had more space to roam!!
I did think the price was a bit too steep for what you get - the price is comparable to a ZSL zoo but without the quality of facilities and size etc.

I attended the Mexican event yesterday.
It was my first evening experience at a zoo. There was only one Mexican food stall which was quite expensive and the portions were small. I spent more than £20 for the food in the picture. 2 Mexican musicians were playing at random times and places, I only heard them for a couple of minutes. In the mexican food stall area there was one lovely lady singing, but i was disappointed it wasnt a Mexican musical performance. The only Mexican thing there was were the sombrero hats, basically everyone had it. I enjoyed the birds display. Overall, it was nice to be in the zoo at the evening. The event was however quite lively due to the large amounts of people enjoying their evening zoo experience. The car park has many spaces and the toilet nearby where very clean. There was a large variety of animals and the staff were very kind.
