One the best zoos to go in or around London. Would highly recommend it. The shops had ice creams and drink reasonably priced. Went with my son who had the greatest time.

Great conservation zoo

This is a great day out with plenty to do and excellent value for money. The zoo really is kept to a very high standard and is easy to navigate. There are lots of extra bits too, like Dinosaur land and kids entertainment, train rides, play parks. There are loads of seating areas for eating and at several points in the zoo so you can continue your day. A handy stamp allows you to come in and out to your car. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There is a real element of care shown for the animals here. Would highly recommend.

Lots of things to do but a bit repetitive

Beautiful zoo. Love the dinosaur part as my autistic child finds it fascinating. Avoid going during heatwave as many of the animals are hiding.

Great experience and stro gly recommendthis place. Dinosaur park was excellent, but shame about the 45min queue to get in. Would have made more sense to have someone walk the queue and scan online tickets.

Excellent place to spend the day.
Walked the dinosaur trail and went on the dinosaur train, then visited the animals, including tiger, sun bear and lemurs etc.

Visited with my 2 year old who loved every aspect of it. The animal zoo is full of great exhibits, set up really well and is enough on its own.

On top of it there is the dinosaur park which is brilliantly interactive, a dinosaur train and shows on stage which ran all day long. We didn't even get to boulder beach!

My little girl loved all of it and was entertained all day long. It's set up so well for little ones and plenty to enjoy as a family.

We visited today Mon 17th August and had a fantastic day, my two grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the day. My main reason for writing is to recommend an idea I’ve seen before, works for families. Have you thought about having lockers (in shaded areas) around the park say for a £1 a day use, so families can put their picnic bags, coats etc in their and can access during their visit. If stops customers having to carry all their picnic stuff around all day. They can just access as and when they need too throughout the day. If you had 150 of these, that would be £150 extra profit per day. Worth thinking about. Just a n idea for you

Great day out for families and everyone who loves animals, loads of activities, animal talks, worth to visit

Helpful friendly staff, clean facilities, plenty of activities for the children including looking at all the animals.

Wonderful day there eith friends. Saw almost all the animals and babies. Attended all the keeper talks extremely interesting, these people are passionate about caring for and learning about the animals. The new " Lemurs of Madagascar " is incredible, being in thete with nothing between you and the lemurs.

Great day out. With different activities, mini golf, train, playareas and paddling pool.

Excellent family run zoo, with possibly the best Dinosaur walk in the Country.

We are members of Chester Zoo, and once a year we can visit a "partner" zoo for free, so we did! We saw many creatures and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The zoo have talks throughout the day and the Penguin one was great.

We visited yesterday and had a fantastic day! It was about 26⁰C so some animals were hiding in the shade but we got great views of lots of them, especially those that we went along to the talk for. The talks were very good, my 8 year old listened to it all, about 10-15 minutes for each one and the keepers were happy to answer lots of questions. I was very impressed that they gave information about how the public can help endangered animals by choosing certain products such as Rainforest Alliance tea. All the animals looked very healthy and well looked after.

The highlight for my daughter was seeing Tyler from One Zoo Three, he really was the nicest guy, happy to chat and have a photo taken with her 😊

We hired a stroller for the day as my daughter is autistic. This worked really well and enabled her to enjoy the day much more, well worth the £14 for a double one which was big enough for her.

Although it was the summer holidays and the car park looked pretty full, nothing seemed ridiculously crowded, we didn't have to queue long for anything and there was plenty of seating in shady spots.
We went for lunch in the air conditioned Pangaea cafe a bit later, 2pm, and by then the salads had sold out and the sandwich choice was limited so recommend getting lunch earlier. The food was reasonably good. Could do with some more non-fizzy soft drinks choices, they only had little cartons or water. There were lots of water refill points around the zoo which was good.
I have a feeling the Sunbear Bakery (which we only discovered later in the day) might have been a nicer place to eat with views of the abimals but there isn't much information on the website about what food is available where so we'd just headed to the main "food court" area.

All on all it was an excellent day out, there was easily enough to do for a whole day. Next time I will make sure to go to the paddling pool, we missed it this time as I'd forgotten it closes 30 mins before the zoo shuts and I'd been planning on going just before we left. So we will definitely back and would highly recommend a visit!

Absolutely amazing. Food great, toilets very clean. Dinosaur area is just fantastic. My 2 grandsons (4 and 5) were so excited. Surpassed my expectations. Then the zoo itself was lovely. Not.too huge, which was great for little legs. The beach and pool at the end was a huge surprise. My grandsons stripped off and ran straight in with their pants :-) fantastic day Thank you
