The zoo was nice for kids aged 6 and under but not the best for kids around 10+.

Also when we walked through the rainforest the walk was empty.
One of the signs by the Capybaras said "Koalas in 9km"
we asked a worker where they were and he said "there are no koalas at the zoo".
But the atmosphere was nice and friendly .The way the buildings were set was a little complicated.

Review by a 10 year old.

A brilliant zoo, I would say one of the best we have visited. It was busy but we didn't feel it, its nicely spread out so you never feel crowded, it was also very clean and tidy. The staff were fantastic, even when doing something they were happy to answer questions on animals, they were all happy, friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. The animals all seemed happy and healthy with a lovely variety. As with all zoos it would be nice to see them with more space. The food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Nice to have the mix of animals, the dino trail and parks too.
It is 3.5hours away from us but worth every minute in the car. Would 100% recommend

A very well maintained and designed zoo. Plenty to do and see for the youngsters with lots of convenient picnic seating areas.

Lots of fun activities for the kids. One day is not enough to do all the activities so I reccommend going back! Some of the activities are not included in the entramce ticket so you have to pay extra. The zoo layout was going in circles so always check your map. They have Peppa Pig and Dinosaur meet and and greet when we visited. Lots of animals to see and the best dinosaur park we have been so far. Arrive before opening times so the queu is not that long for the entrance. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

A lovely zoo that's relatively compact, but still boasting a wide variety of amazing animals. The dinosaur section is a nice addition, especially if you have some dino-obsessed kids in tow. Everything feels clean and well-maintained. When I visited, many of the animals were out of sight during the morning, but came out later on when the temperatures cooled a bit in the afternoon. Don't know if that's a regular occurrence but might be worth bearing in mind. My only criticism is that you have to cross a fairly busy road to access the car park: it would be helpful to have a proper crossing or some kind of staff assistance.

Highly recommend buying a yearly membership. We have renewed ours for four years. We visit most weeks. It's just the right size to bring young children. There's something for everyone. And it's not so big that it will exhausted everyone. The dino trail is airways entertaing. Along with the train. The animals seem well cared for and happy. An absolute winner

Such a fantastic place with so much to do! It's the Zoo that has it all... animals, dinosaurs, soft play, splash park, a train and even a mini museum.

Amazing zoo! Its perfect, especially for younger children as things arent miles away from each other so you dont need to talk for ages between attractions but its also big enough and has so much going on that you see a lot during the day. I love that there different things to do also, dinosaurs, animals, beach park, soft play and more! We are already planning our next visit!

as with the sister park every single animal is extremely looked after, the staff are very helpful. on your visit a must see is the dinosaur part, over 40 animatronic life size dinosaurs they roar and move in such a natural way even their eyelids blink. there are plenty of food outlets and activities for children. you can hire pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters!

For us as a family with older children it was just ok. It looks to be aimed more for families with young children who I am sure would have enjoyed it more than us.

Very entertaining and beautiful zoo. I love how nicely the places were designed for the animals and the garden details where the visitors are walking.
My only critique is that it would be great to have more nappy changing areas around the restaurants.
