I visited the zoo yesterday 26.05.2026
It so nice to have the posibility too see these beautiful animals. It was a very hot day and I can see the zoo is well maintained and animals are well fed and the whole design is nice
Lots of space for the felines but I do think the replies and the little monkeys need more space and sun
The little crocodile needs more space also some sun. All animals need sun in general
The red panda also maybe needs more space
Also sad to see the snow leopard and the tiger missed a mate looked so lonely. They live longer if they have a companion.
Also on a hot weather I couldn't see if the animals had fresh water
It is so much space in the Dinosaurs section and they are not alive so some improvements could be done
Aside this , this zoo is very nice

We recently visited Hertfordshire Zoo and honestly had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The zoo is beautifully maintained, family-friendly, and full of wonderful attractions for children and adults alike.
My children especially loved the dinosaur enclosures, the giant trains, and the fantastic fire truck play area. The little swimming and splash area was also a huge hit and made the day even more enjoyable. Everywhere you go there is something exciting for children to explore and enjoy.
The animals looked incredibly well cared for, healthy, and happy, which was lovely to see. There are restaurants, ice cream stands, and little shops conveniently placed around the zoo, making the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. We also really appreciated the shaded areas and air-conditioned spots where families can relax for a while during warmer weather.
A very special thank you to Karen, the meal supervisor in the main restaurant. She was absolutely lovely, welcoming, and caring. She made sure we were looked after and even made sure we ate before leaving. Her kindness and professionalism truly stood out and added something extra special to our visit.
Overall, this was a beautiful family day out and one we will definitely remember. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun, relaxing, and memorable experience.

I have a membership with this zoo, had it over a year. My daughter loves it. It has a small splash pool for the little ones in this heat! Soft play ( needs to be booked in advance on website, this is so it doesn't get crowded) Staff are always so friendly and helpful. Food is not pricey, nice place to enjoy all the animals and spent a lovely morning or afternoon out.

Excellent day out. We did a Big Cat Encounter/feed of Kumal the jaguar with keeper Josh. Hertfordshire Zoo have multiple species of animals to admire. Very good food in both places we ate, Sun Bear Bakery and Restaurant Pangaea. The staff in Guest Services and throughout the zoo and all very helpful. This is an excellent place to visit. We are looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

We visited the zoo today. it was a hot day but somehow managed to see a few animals. Lions were being fed when we visited, so an upclose encounter. Bears, red panda and few others were amazing. Bintourang, gibbon and other were taking a break. By the time we reached penguins our kids gave up and just wanted to go to the boulders beach so we gave up the zoo visit and went there. We did not even cover half of the zoo. We were super excited about the beach part but it was a let down. It could have been much better with some fountains and more water feature rather than just a shallow pond kinda with murky water. Zoo was good, food was good (we had a hiccup with the service but its ok), facilities were superb but beach not so much.
Its one of the cleanest zoo with proper signage and bright enclosures we have visited. But the space for lions, leopard, jaguars and bears did look smaller compared to some other zoo's.

We traveled 2 hours to specifically see the Sengi and our trip was worth every second! Not only did we get to see the adorable Sengi, but keeper Kim was kind enough to let us get a closer look at them and give us amazing facts and knowledge on the adorable tiny creatures. Thank you so much Kim, you made our trip so special! We would 100% recommend going to Hertfordshire zoo!

Zoo was brilliant and the Dinasour section made the ticket price worthwhile! We went on a weekday and all the food places / stalls were closed which was unexpected but we had a good time nonetheless

Such a lovely Zoo for families especially kids with lots of entertainment. We have been a few times and new areas are always been added meaning the experience is different. Spent a few good hours here and got be close to some of the farm animals
