Très bel hôtel. Un peu loin du centre ville, malgré la navette et la proximité des lignes de bus.

From arriving to leaving an amazing stay. Arrived at 7-45 on flight from Exeter and hotel picked us up on arrival at reception a lovely person Kristina checked us in, I knew from time that room shouldnt be available but we were told it wouldnt be long and to go in to the breakfast area and order what we wanted from the menu at no charge! We had breakfast and room was ready and bags had been taken up. Great first impression and it didnt stop there we were told wherever we wanted to go just let reception know and the courtesy car would be booked, over the 4 days it felt like we had a private service to get around the island. We eat in Ocean first night and the belly pork was amazing and on our anniversary we had flowers left in room and champagne at the Steak restaurant.Would certainly go back to stay here again, totally impressed with all members of staff Kristina and Pieter the chauffeur also to the general manager who ferried us around on our last day on Pieters day off.

Just back from dinner and stayover. Sherry, fruit and biscuits waiting for us on our arrival. Enjoyable dinner and lovely freshly cooked breakfast.
It was my wife's birthday and we were surprised with a 'happy birthday dessert' from the hotel. Staff very attentive and polite. Thank you.

Reserved a room at the Fermain Valley (venue rooms) which are not part of the main hotel and a steep walk through the gardens back to the main road next to their restaurant Buho. Didn't realise this when booking but hotel did email us to inform us that it was not attached to the main hotel. Very nice room with nice decor. Friendly welcome from receptionist. Very good breakast in the morning. Did not eat in the evening as we could not get booked into the restaurant (only very early or very late availabilty). Very good housekeeping, hotel was spotless. I think our room may have been next to the staff quarters as it was quite noisy late on.

This is without a doubt one of the best hotels on the island. The ambience is calm, the service excellent, the rooms comfortable and clean, the facilities are very good.
What a pleasant surprise to find that breakfast is cooked fresh when ordered and only the cereals and cold items and buffet served. The bar staff and reception staff were very attentive and our needs were always taken care of. I will definitely being staying in this establishment again.

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel so welcome, met with a smile and shown to my room.

Check in team were husband and wife, a note to point out that these two are a real asset.

Fantastic room, superb bed and mattress, clean well equipped, great breakfast and lovely choice of bars and restaurants.

I can not find anything to objectively and constructively criticise. It was superb and I will be back.

The Fermain Valley Hotel was a large hotel set in extensive grounds. My wife and I enjoyed our stay there. Our room was situated away from the main building so that one walked through the garden to breakfast. It was some way out of towm but there was a convenient bus.

This may be a four star hotel, but many five star establishments fail to provide the service, ambience and facilities we enjoyed at the Fermain Valley. The room was perfection, with every mortal thing we might need. The breakfast choice, either buffet or freshly cooked was excellent. As was dinner in The Ocean restaurant each of the four night we were there. We didn't venture to the other restaurants, but found the cakes to die for in the tea room one afternoon. The swimming pool though small must be lovely with its wall of glass doors open in the summer. Finally the staff are an energetic and cheerful bunch, who obviously enjoy what they do. That in itself tends to be a rarity?
I hope to return.

A friend and I spent 3 days at Fermain Valley Hotel in October and can not praise the hotel enough.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but we both were so impressed with the service, location and the thoughtful touches that I wanted to leave a note to say thank you and recommend anyone stay here when visiting the island.

It’s close to town yet sufficiently far enough away to feel like you’re getting away from it all. Free shuttle service to town (and because we came out of season your driver kindly took us and picked us up from a wedding!); lovely, spacious room (we loved the decanter of sherry - nice touch); comfortable beds; great choice of food at breakfast; and a good array of restaurants on-site too. Friendly, helpful staff (a lady on reception even lent me her hair straighteners when I was panicking about my wedding hair!), and in a lovely setting just up the hill (short walk) from Fermain Bay. You all went the extra mile during our short stay - and we so appreciated it.

Summer no doubt gets much busier, so I wouldn’t expect such a level of attention then that we received, but I have no doubt anyone staying there - whatever season - would feel impressed. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room while a little on the small side was spotlessly clean, the decor was really nice and the balcony was a great size with excellent views. There is still and sparkling water in the room along with tea/coffee & lovely biscuits. The only real negatives are that the room doesn’t have air-conditioning or a mini fridge.

We had dinner in Ocean restaurant which was lovely, the bar staff made excellent cocktails and the breakfast choices were great and all freshly cooked. There are also two other restaurants to choose from.

It is set in beautifully landscaped gardens plenty of places to sit and relax and a direct path down to a lovely little bay with the beach and the beach café.

There is a small indoor pool and a sauna.

The parking situation isn’t ideal as there is limited parking And hotel guests do not get any priority over the parking.

I do however highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning next year.

Pleasant hotel set in lovely surroundings on a peaceful island.
Staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, ready to cater for your every need.
Rooms are well equipped, clean and nicely maintained. Many complimentary added extras help make for a very enjoyable stay. Be aware though, rooms above the Rock Garden Steakhouse may be noisey at nights!.
Ocean Greek Eats restaurant is a peaceful dining environment, food is very good, both in quality and quantity. 2 x other restaurants are available on site but didn't try those.
Overall a very pleasant stay, would highly recommend, as long as you accept that Guernsey is a very beautiful island, somewhat exclusive and depending upon choice, can come at a price.

Final word of interest, I believe the hotel is currently up for sale, so things may be different in the future???

Stopped in this hotel a week, from start to finish excellent, we got picked up from the airport by the hotel which is only 10 minutes away.
The hotel looks clean well maintained , got to our room and there was a dozen red roses with a card as it was our 25th wedding anniversary.
The bedroom very clean, sherry in the room had a sea view.
Breakfast was the best i have had in any hotel that i have stopped in, the staff all very friendly and go out of the way if you want anything.
On our anniversary we ate in the Rock and was given a glass of bubbly on arrival and a cheesecake with anniversary on the plate.
The whole week was just perfect that near the bus stops that go all over the island or just walk in to the town, will be going back there next time.
The only slight fault was in the restaurant i wanted a childs meal as was not that hungry , and was told that it was not possible , which i cant see what difference it makes to them.

Booked this hotel for our anniversary weekend. As we expected our room, view, food and service were awesome. Hotel is situated near fermain Bay and the location is calm, private and serene. Special thanks to Cristina at the reception - who guided us perfectly and with great gesture.

A week's holiday in a lovely hotel with 3 great restaurants, a tea room, a sitting room and a library. Outside there are comfy seats overlooking the gorgeous gardens and down the valley with views of the bay. The staff were all exceptional and very caring, we felt truly spoilt. Our room (gold) with a balcony was delightful with bay views & the complimentary decanter of sherry a lovely touch to sip on the balcony in an evening.

We recently spent a week here in a Platinum room. The room was clean, well appointed and quiet. Overall the hotel presents well in a gorgeous, leafy but steep valley overlooking the sea to the east. Regular buses are available on the road just up the hill. The hotel offers 3 restaurant options (Greek, grill and Mexican) plus a small tea room on site. Ten minutes walk down the valley is a small beach with an independent cafe. Ten minutes on the bus will take you to St Peter Port with many dining and tour options.
The best thing about this hotel is the service. Nothing was too much trouble, dietary issues and special requests were expertly catered for, shuttle transport was freely available, and all was offered with a smile and good humour. Many well known "5 Star" brands could learn a lot from this excellent hotel. We were sad to leave!
Perhaps the only negative was that the hotel lies on the flight path for the airport. However the airport is not too busy and has a night curfew, so sleep is very peaceful.
