Went here for a girlie birthday staycation. Lovely hotel and rooms. Fabulous staff, nothing too much trouble. The food in BUHO was perfect for dinner and breakfast, saw to all of our dietary needs. Wonderful cocktails in Rock Garden and Buho. We will be back.

Had an overnight stay in one of the treehouse rooms. Beautifully decorated room in a magical setting. The double shower was lovely. The views are spectacular from the outdoor seating area. The seating area could benefit from a little more privacy as in order to access the rooms and jacuzzi, you have to walk past each of the rooms and seating areas. That being said, the jacuzzi is a fab addition to these stunning rooms. Room service menu is limited to sandwiches and burgers but plenty of dining options in the hotel. Breakfast at Buho was great with plenty of options. Would highly recommend staying here. Great for couples but would also be fun for a group of friends to book a few rooms together.

We booked a staycations at this hotel over the weekend, we were advised when we booked 6 weeks earlier that the restaurant gets very busy so we booked a table at the same time. Our hotel room was beautiful and the start of a stay was off to a great start, we enjoyed a swim then dress for dinner at 6.45 .
We walked down to the restaurant at 6.30 and met the other members of our friends and family for the meal 7 of us in all . Once seated and after a catch up with each other and a read of the menu we asked to ordered we were told someone would be over, after a further 15 minutes we asked again to order and were told as previous but were still left waiting to place our food order. When we were finally able to order our food we were advised that the fish was no longer available so two of our party ordered the burgers but were then told there was no buns for the burgers, one person changed to chicken and we were told no chicken ! We question the reason why at 6.45 so many of the options were not available and were told it was a busy lunch time and they had run out, we asked why the supplies were not re stocked during the afternoon and given no answer, we also asked for the price to be reduced as part of the meal would be missing but this was not done. We complained to management but as yet the manager has not been in touch as promised. Great hotel but awful service in restaurant which is also very pricey .

My husband and I booked a gold room with balcony last weekend to enjoy a romantic getaway for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived on the Friday evening the outside seating areas were closed off and remained so until late Saturday evening / Sunday. We planned our day to enjoy time at Fermain bay late morning / early afternoon and anticipated a relaxing afternoon enjoying the sun on the balcony and possibly a siesta. We were greeted with a loud party and DJ playing very loud drum and bass dance music which we could hear loudly in the room even with doors and windows closed. This continued until 7pm completely ruining our afternoon. We asked for a discount on the room as it was simply not possible to sit on the balcony we had paid for nor was the outside space available to us during our stay. We negotiated a £42 discount but in hindsight that doesn’t really cut it and we won’t return. While w3 accept that any hotel will have parties at no point were we advised that a party was going on. Had we been informed when we booked we would have chosen another weekend. Had we been informed when we checked in we would have arranged our day differently. Other than that the staff were largely helpful and we enjoyed lovely meals at Buho and the rock garden.

Just returned from a three night stay at the hotel. We stayed in platinum room which was spacious and had a lovely view over the bay. Everything in the hotel was very clean and all the staff we’re extremely helpful nothing too much trouble. The walk though the tropical gardens to the bay was well worth the walk back up to the hotel!
The hotel also offered the use of a driver to do airport pickups and trips to St Peters port.Peter was friendly and helpful, making staying out of town easy.

Set in it's own gardens, this boutique hotel's location was perfect for us to explore the island's coastline. The double room, with beach/valley view from balcony was kept immaculately clean. The three restaurants, we couldn't fault. A big plus was the complimentary shuttle bus into SPP and nearby surrounding areas. Both drivers provided us with insights into the area enroute. Staff overall could not do enough for us. Even though we had 9 nights there, we didn't get a chance to use the pool or cinema the-weather was sooooo good. Should a future opportunity to return present itself, we would certainly stay here again.

All of the staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and thoughtful and some going above and beyond. The hotel facilities were very good. Particularly liked the Rock Garden restaurant. Gluten-free options available and staff were aware of it.

There was no requirement to wear face masks required because Guernsey has been Coronavirus-free for months. Even though this was the case there was handgel available and it was regularly cleaned throughout.

A lovely four star hotel, in a lovely setting. The staff could not do enough for you. Has a shuttle bus for local pick ups and setting down which is much appreciated. Very hot weather mde the bedrooms hot during the night, but the hotel provided an oscillating fan, which was appreciated. A lnice touch was the sherry that was provided in each room. Decor and standard of furnishings was excellent, but wifi was a bit iffy at certain time of the day and in some locations around hotel. Hotel on a hill and built into the hillside, so for those with walking issues it could prove a bit difficult, so you might need to rent a car for your stay, and whilst hotel had a lift (elevator) there were also steops inside the hotel which had to be nogotiated.

We (myself, Wife and 20 month old) stayed here for 4 nights recently.

The good:
Restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast staff remembered our coffee orders and daughters breakfast after the first day. The waiters at the Rock Garden Steakhouse were very friendly and accommodating.

The food was very nice, various breakfast options were available and all were tasty. Steakhouse food was good, and the menu had plenty of choice. We didn't get chance to eat at the Mexican restaurant (more on that below).

Room cleanliness was very good (even after the mess a 20 month old makes) and the hotel has a nice lounge area with comfy sofas made the evenings a little more enjoyable.

The bad:
The reception staff were quite cold and abrupt, no information was offered about the hotel/restaurants/shuttle service - the information was only given if you asked.

On arrival we asked if the crib we had requested was in the bedroom and was told it was definitely in there, when we got to our room it wasn't there (this is common across many hotels we have stayed in and it always amazes me that hotels cant manage this), i tried ringing reception 4 times and it cut out every time. I went back down and asked the receptionist to ahve one bought up and she said she would ring housekeeping, wrote a note and started serving next customer - 1 hour later and another visit to reception and we eventually got the crib - it was 5pm by this time and our toddlers nap routine was completely out of the window.

The room (room 28) - we had paid for a "Platinum" room, the bedroom itself was extremely large, however, most of it was wasted space. The bathroom was in the eves of the building and only had a bath and a shower head over the bath, because of the eves you couldnt stand up for a shower so had to sit in the bath to shower. I saw another of our parties Platinum room which had bathroom (Bath and walk in shower), separate WC and two closet areas, much nicer and i would suggest that the room we had was only called a Platinum room due to the unuseable size and sea view.

Room service/Takeout - on the Thursday of our stay the rest of our party went out for dinner and we stayed in to let our little one sleep, we sat in the lounge and tried to order a takeaway from the mexican restaurant, Buho. Despite the website saying they did takeaway there was no anser on the 3 occasions we rang and when we asked at reception if the could help they said, quite unhelpfully, that they were fully booked and our only option was the room service menu - the room service menu was extremely limited and quite pricey, in the end we opted for a thai takeaway.

Overall thoughts:
Great location for exploring St Peter Port, however, a few parts of the experience let down the whole place and thus i wouldn't say it was 4 star. Would i go back...probably not.

Me and my partner were so impressed as we stayed in the tree house rooms which were so unique and an amazing experience! Lovely food, helpful staff and a great service where they offer free taxis to anywhere on the island. The photos of the hotel and lovely view are not remotely misleading, it really is that nice! The hot tub and pool is also such a lovely way to relax in the evenings. Couldn’t recommend it more if you’re going to guernsey.

We are having a week in this lovely hotel, via the IOM air bridge agreement. Guernsey is lovely and scenic, but our hotel Fermain Valley is excellent, food superb, if you can book room overlooking the valley to the sea with balcony. It truly makes all the difference! The restaurants comprise of The Rock Garden Steakhouse, excellent in every way,The Buho Latina is again excellent food and great vibe, Ocean Greek Eats is for our next meal, which no doubt will be just as good! There was a BBQ on the patio for residents and non residents on certain Saturday Saturday lunch times. All you can eat!! Staff are friendly, helpful and very hardworking, due to Covid issues, the owner has explained how hard, it's been to get staff onto the island for work, with quarantine at both sides of travel. But they have managed thus far.Well done guys, credit to the hospitality industry and yourselves, working long hours.Beautiful furnishings and decor throughout, indoor swimming pool, small cinema with request films via DVD,fabulous garden walk, courtesy bus for residents, tea room, library, lounge area, rooms are not large, but spotlessly clean throughout. They even have their own Escape Rooms, four rooms built as a plane crash, moving into the jungle and beyond!! We will be back definitely.Thank you.

Just like to same what a lovely hotel this was to stay. What made it perfect was the wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble and very helpful in every way.
It was a great thing to have a complimentary shuttle wherever you wanted to go.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Lovely hotel, clean rooms, good breakfast and a great indoor swimming pool and cinema. The staff were very friendly. Rooms can get quite hot, however the hotel can provide fans. Peter who drives the free shuttle bus to St Peter Port and the airport goes above and beyond and gives good recommendations. Overall, a very good hotel and we will definitely be back!

Thank you to all the staff at Fermain Valley for making our stay so wonderful. The hotel facilities are second to none (beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable bedrooms, through to use of 3 restaurants as well as the tea room and the cinema), the food is lovely and every person we met was so committed to ensuring we had a truly outstanding experience.

Thank you all. We thoroughly enjoyed our break.

What a lovely hotel! We had a great stay here and it was so relaxing. We stayed in one of the best rooms and felt spoilt, it was huge and the room facilities were all you would expect in a good spa hotel, with fruit, biscuits, tea and coffee, robes, not forgetting the sherry (although that's not really our tipple). The room was clean, warm and we slept well.
A short walk down to beautiful Fermain Bay and onto the cliffs to walk. Only half an hour walk into the centre of St Peter Port, although we hired a car as well and made use of the free parking on site.
Food was lovely, the breakfasts were brilliant. Three different restaurants and we ate in two, having breakfast daily in the third. All restaurants were excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. We particularly loved the Mexican restaurant, which had real buzz.
All in all a wonderful place to stay and we will be returning when we visit Guernsey, an island we love, again.

Very quick check in, straight to the room with good views over the bay and you can see the other islands. Food very good and a well stocked bar. The swimming pool is small but a good workout as it was empty when I was their.

Lovely hotel with views of the Fermain Valley. Breakfast is great and the rooms have a complimentary decanter of Chery. Steak restaurant on site is incredible. Greek and Mexican restaurants on site are also worth a mention. Staff are always friendly and rooms are clean. I stay here everytime I go to Guernsey.
