The BID Ballot starts from the 4th of July until the 31st of July and is administered by the Electoral Reform Society.
All businesses in the BID area with a rateable value of over £6,000 who are eligible to vote will receive a ballot paper in the post. This will be sent to either the bill payer or the local represented (if this has been advised). A return envelope will be provide, along with a copy of the business plan.
Every year, the BID will raise £300,000 which will be spent on the priorities determined by the local business community. There are over 300 BIDs in the UK, including Hastings, Brighton and Bournemouth.
Eastbourne BID has published a business plan which can be found on www.youreastbournebid.com or by calling 01323 641 144. Our key targets are also listed on the website.
A bright and vibrant future
With over £200m inward investment into Eastbourne - these are exciting times for our beautiful seaside town.
The Eastbourne BID has been developed after listening to how you want to see the town centre develop. It is the result of many hours of consultations, 1-2-1s, group meetings and surveys. We want to prevent a two-tier town centre; we want to ensure that all of the town benefits from the investments made and we want to ensure that Eastbourne is a destination visitors wish to come back to again and again.
Every penny raised will be invested in creating a strong trading environment that visitors want to return to again and again.
Be sure to have your voice heard and vote on the 4th of July Eastbourne - see Facebook Event.
