Can you believe it, it is that time of year again when we start encouraging local people to show their support for businesses in Eastbourne for Business of the Year 2019.
The Awards are open to all members of thebestof Eastbourne that qualify before the end of November and businesses not yet members still have time to discuss membership options. It is not just about awards thebestof is a marketing organisation committed to raising the profile of independent, recommended businesses serving Eastbourne and the surrounding area. So far in Eastbourne, we have worked closely with a number of businesses and our collective total of reviews is over 6200! So if you think your business it one of the best or you are aspiring to be the best we want to hear from you, call us on 01323 458125 or email us to arrange a meeting!
Word of mouth and customer feedback lie at the heart of thebestof. The role of reviews in the decision-making process has never been more influential and prevalent than it is now. The Business of the Year Awards are based purely on the number of verified reviews that a business has received from its customers contributing to their overall star rating!
The campaign operates at a national and local level providing participants across the country with the opportunity to win the accolade of UK Business of the Year 2019, Business of the Year in Category 2019 or Business of the Year 2019 in their own town.
David Ruddle, owner of thebestof Eastbourne explains, “We are excited about the Business of the Year 2019 Awards. We had a great response from Eastbourne for the 2018 awards and hope to see even more businesses qualify this year. Having introduced a new local award for Most Loved Restaurant running alongside BOTY 2019 this year should see a huge rise in the overall number of local reviews!”
“Like last year business members have to receive a minimum of 12 validated reviews LIVE on thebestof Eastbourne website by the 30th November 2018 in order to qualify. We already have 3 businesses qualified who have secured their place in the competition with many others requiring just a few more reviews to be eligible to take part.”
“We feel it’s important that small businesses should be acknowledged for the contribution they make to the local economy and the role they play in the community. If you use a great local business please take a couple of minutes to leave a review by visiting thebestof.co.uk/recommend”
All businesses who have qualified will be entered into the Awards, which run in January to midnight on the 31st January 2019. Local people can take part by visiting members A-Z. As an added incentive those who leave a review during the campaign will be entered into a prize draw details of which will be shared later in the year. The results will be displayed every day on the Leader Board and the winners will be announced on 1st February 2019.
David Ruddle comments, “It really is down to the great British public to decide who should be recognised in these Awards. What the businesses have to say about themselves is not relevant - this is about you, the customer and your experience of the business. There are huge benefits for an organisation in winning an award, from the marketing and PR opportunities to the positive impact on staff morale and motivation. Last year we had a good number of members win in their national categories! Will they retain their title or better their overall total number of reviews this time around?
Details are subject to change as Business of the Year is still a while off and we only just presented our winners with their 2019 certificates in May. Stay up to date by following our Facebook page as we add more Qualified Business Members to the list!
