The team behind the Eastbourne Christmas Market are putting the final touches to this year’s Christmas activities which run this year from Friday 30th November to Sunday 23rd December in Terminus Road.
Organised by the Eastbourne unLtd Chamber of Commerce and Edeal with support from Wyntercon and Embrace the three week traditional Christmas Market will include over 100 hours of entertainment, over forty individual traders and a visit from Mrs Santa Claus every weekend.
Christina Ewbank, Chief Executive of Eastbourne unLtd Chamber of Commerce said “With the chalets now installed we are ready to welcome thousands to our popular Christmas event. Visitors will be able to sample delicious mulled wine and local gins, indulge in sweet homemade fudge, listen to wonderful local choirs and enjoy some great entertainment including a Pantomime!”
While the market opens on Friday 30th November at 10am, Stephen Lloyd MP will be turning on the Terminus Road and market lights alongside the stars ofEastbourne’s Panto and the Gildredge House School Choir at 4.30pm. So do bring the family down to see the lights and join us in the carol singing.
Andy Kybett, CEO of Wyntercon said “We are honoured to be hosting Mrs Claus at the Eastbourne Christmas Market this year. She will be delighting children with Christmas stories and cookies every weekend in the high street from her homely grotto. If anyone would like to get involved in helping run the grotto, please do get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org”.
Leanna Forse from Embrace said “This year we’ve been organising the entertainment at the Christmas Market. There are jugglers and singers, choirs and tribute acts. We’ve even got a free Panto on the opening weekend. In total, there are over 107 hours of entertainment booked. But if you’d like to get in – we’ve still got a few spots and can squeeze you in!”
Christina continued “We are so grateful for the support shown at this year’s event from our fantastic community. This year is our biggest ever Christmas Market, and we couldn’t do it without the support of the local community. So now – there’s nothing left but to come along, do your Christmas shopping and enjoy the market!”
