Not long after #EBhour when I had tagged @BirchwoodUK asking if they had some news to share they got back to me confirming that in fact, the NEW Ford Fiesta was now available to test drive and asked if I wanted to check it out!

I have wanted to take Birchwood up on a test drive for a while now as my car is over 5 years old and though looks great technology has moved on greatly… I had a really busy day mapped out in the diary but as they say, "if you want something done give it to a busy person". I also wanted to check out the overall approach to “sales” from the Birchwood team in a not so Mystery Shopper fashion.

First of all, every time I have visited Birchwood the reception team always give me a warm welcome and I am pleased this was no different when arriving for my test drive. I met some key members of the team and introduced to Ross who would be taking my details and joining me on the test drive.

A few simple questions later and my declaration I was fit and eligible to drive we were in the car. First impressions were this was much more modern than expected. The seat was incredibly comfortable, the console was easy to understand and the sound system was amazing!

The engine has surprising power for a 1.1 and it handled really well. We did a short trip out to the wind turbines and back to the dealership. A smooth ride and everything felt very comfortable.

When going over the options available should I want to buy the car (no pressure at all) I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable it was for such a great car! If I was in the market to buy I would have certainly taken up the offer and the Zetec is now firmly on my radar for when I am next looking to upgrade my driving experience!

If you want to book a no obligation test drive give Birchwood a call on 01323 458225
