A date for your diaries. Next year will be here before you realise and ‘now’ is never too early to make plans for the future.
Saturday 16th March 2019 is Disabled Access Day. It will be great for Eastbourne to celebrate this National Day event the purpose of which is to get as many disabled people out and about trying new places, activities, etc and to showcase / highlight the fantastic access that already exists in Eastbourne’s businesses, attractions and facilities. Raising awareness will help open up more spaces and places for more people to enjoy. Businesses will see the advantages of being more inclusive / accessible for all.
Held at two year intervals, 2019 see the third Disabled Access Day and although Eastbourne has not yet taken part, what better opportunity exists to showcase Eastbourne as a truly Disabled Friendly town.
Plan for and join in with Disabled Access Day; make your business Accessible for All. This can be as simple as providing a seat for frail customers or as complex as installing hearing loops for those with impaired hearing. Small changes can make huge differences to customers with a disability and remember a happy customer is a repeat customer and will certainly tell friends/family.
Please consider how you can help 16th March 2019 special for so many people and contact the Eastbourne Access Group at firstname.lastname@example.org with your ideas. We're looking forward to hearing from you.
