As a local, community club Eastbourne Rangers were extremely pleased to be able to put something back into football over the past few months for those with very different needs.
As well as donating old kit (including shirts, shorts and socks) to Ghana in the summer, rangers also opted to donate an entire strip to an adults disability team called the "Eastbourne Seagulls". Phil Broom kindly transported the spare kit to Ghana in a recent trip and Phil also coaches the disability team (pictured) who are now wearing rangers colours with great glee and pride.
Broom said of the donation, “A massive thanks to Eastbourne Rangers for donating their kit to my Eastbourne Disability Team. The smiles on their faces when I said they can keep the kit were priceless. #disabilityfootball #community”
As a club, we feel extremely privileged to be able to support and enable local football as well as also supporting the beautiful game on the world stage too.
