Rangers face tough trip to 'Ceux

Eastbourne Rangers make the short, but challenging trip to Lime Cross tomorrow where they face local rivals Herstmonceux in a mouth watering division two league clash. The two sides have already met earlier in the season at the sports park when 'Ceux pipped rangers in the last 15 minutes with three goals that gave them a 3-1 victory.

Since that game, 'Ceux have secured just four league points with a 2-2 draw against Catsfield and a decent 9-1 win against Ninfield United. Ceux crashed out of the league cup with Little Chelsea issuing a 10-4 thumping while league defeats against Crowhurst, Wittersham and Little Chelsea have limited their haul of league points.

Rangers, on the other hand, are very much on the up after claiming ten points from their last five games with wins against Ninfield, Crowhurst and Catsfield combined with a good 2-2 home draw against Wadhurst United. This run of form sees rangers lying in fourth in the league table while ceux sit fourth bottom albeit with two games in hand on the triple league champions. Herstmonceux's full league record reads P7 W2 D1 L5 F18 A19 Pts7

So all to play for this weekend with both teams looking to pick up maximum points.

2pm kick off at Lime Cross, see you there.
