Recently I celebrated with many of my members and friends from thebestof Eastbourne having been my own boss for 5 years. Many agree that having started my business in the worst possible economic climate and not folded is a testament to the hours of effort and determination I have put into growing thebestof Eastbourne. I can also thank Multichannel Marketing for my growth and success.
What is multichannel marketing?
For anyone not sure what multichannel marketing is, here is what Wikipedia says:
Multichannel marketing is the ability to interact with potential customers on various platforms. In this sense, a channel might be a print ad, a retail location, a website, a promotional event, a products package or even word of mouth.
Why has multichannel marketing been so important?
On the first day as my own boss, it was important that I created a source of potential businesses owners to work with from different sources, as if I was meeting them through a networking event chances are they would been meeting the people that also networked with me so I would not be adding value.
However, if that same business did not use social media or online marketing techniques such as e-mail, PPC or blogging then I would be able to support them in finding new sources of business.
Multi Business = Multi Channels
Not only did I want to find networking businesses and ones using direct marketing but the fusion with the community gave me a stronger dynamic than many other “promotional opportunities”. Having various types of businesses using thebestof Eastbourne as the “staging area” meant that regardless of where they were interacting with the potential customers all roads lead back to thebestof Eastbourne where even if that business was unsuccessful for whatever reason chances are that prospective customer might browse thebestof Eastbourne and choose another business member. Giving all our businesses members a chance to win business from sources they have never even ventured into.
What marketing channels does thebestof Eastbourne use?
With 5 years of actively growing different channels of marketing in Eastbourne I am pleased to share with you the following list:
We have established at the very least a presence in all that listed above!
Why have so many channels?
You might like to argue that rather than have so many channels developing one to that of the skill of a surgeon would be better time spent. That is where thebestof Eastbourne comes into its true strength as we help our business members develop their skills to the best they can possibly be so when all combined we have a surgical marketing team that can not be equalled!
How does my business get involved?
I know that thebestof Eastbourne is not suitable to every business and that is why we always meet, have a casual conversation over coffee or tea to find out more about your business and your objectives. If they align with ours and it makes sense to work together and the applicable membership fees are not a cost burden to your business then we will progress to the next level!
