Ford have been very pleased to announceĀ a car and van scrappage scheme aimed at improving the air quality by providing customers a chance to trade in their older vehicles for a new and affordable car or van. Not only that but they're aiming to help reduce CO2 emissions and improve the fuel economy.

This scheme is open to any customer of any brand to trade in for a new Ford vehicle (registered before 2010) which will produce lower emissions and reduceĀ the carbon footprint on the planet. This scheme will help get the older, dirtier cars off the roads.

Andy Barrat, Chairman and MD of Ford of Britain said "Ford shares society's concerns over our air quality" adding "Removing generations of the most polluting vehicles will have the most immediate and positive effect on our air quality and our Ford scrappage scheme aims to do just that."

With the Scrappage Scheme available at Birchwood Ford, if you have a vehicle over 7 years old and are looking to trade in for a new vehicle then now is the time to do so with massive savings not only on the vehicle costs but also on other expenses such as insurance and fuel making a new vehicle more pocket friendly for you.
