David Rollison has been appointed commercial manager of the Eastbourne Eagles from tomorrow (October 1).
He is a long-time supporter of the club and a well known local grass/long track Rider.
This year he has played a leading role in the creation and development of the club’s community programme and been at the forefront of its widely acclaimed success.
David has some excellent local contacts and innovative ideas and will work closely with Club Director Ian Jordan in the initial hand over and will then take over and develop the commercial side of the operation.
A community project manager will be appointed to take that vital project forward under David's supervision.
Club Director Ian Jordan said: “David has been an outstanding find for us this season and his tireless work on the Community Programme has been a revelation.
“It is vital that we move the business structure forwards, rewarding hard work and spotting potential.
“I am very keen to assist and mentor people, passing on my business experience and core skills for the future benefit of the club whilst I'm here building for the medium and long-term stability of the Eagles.
“I am confident that David will not only be a great success in his role, but will also be the first of a number of key appointments as part of the succession planning that any successful business needs.”
Eastbourne Speedway is working to develop and showcase an extensive range of commercial, sponsorship and advertising opportunities for all budgets in preparation for the 2020 season, and these will be launched and announced before the middle of October.
