Dementia Voices Choir has received grant funding from the National Lottery Community Fund

The new choir for people with early stage dementia has received grant funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, which has enabled this service to be offered free of charge.
The Chairman of Wealden DistrIct Council will officially open the proceedings at the first Dementia Voices session on Thursday 15th August at 2.10 at Pevensey Bay Baptist Church.
If you know anyone with early stage dementia, do encourage them to come along, as singing in a choir has been scientifically proven to improve brain function during the choir sessions.
There will be “choir buddies” from the existing (non dementia) Voices Choirs to lend a helping hand with the singing and make sure you have a great experience each week.

Call Diana Terry on 01323 766994 or email dementiavoices@mail.com to let us know you are coming
We look forward to meeting you and keeping your musical memories alive.
