One game for the club this week with our MSFL team entertaining AFC Hurst. Both sides are in fine form.

Rangers have secured an incredible 6 straight league wins which has seen them spring to second place in the league while AFC Hurst have 4 wins in a row, wins that have facilitated a rise to third in the table. The sides have already met twice this season with rangers winning through in extra time in the league cup and rangers again coming out on top when goals from Kyle Daines, Glen Noble and Josh Kyte gave rangers a well deserved 3-1 away victory against AFC in the league. The only other game AFC have lost this season was when they travelled to Rotherfield II.

Last week saw AFC conquer league leaders Jarvis Brook 5-2 while further home wins against Polegate Town II (4-0), Peacehaven United II (5-2) and East Grinstead United II (walkover) has seen the league blown wide open with the top three all on 18 points. Top of the table Brook have played one more game than AFC and Rangers which makes this game all the more crucial with the winners leapfrogging Brook to the summit of the division 4 table.

Hurst’s league form reads: P8 W6 D0 L2 F22 A12 Pts18 with rangers having scored one more and conceded one less goal over their 8 games. The AFC danger-men are Lewis Taylor and Martin Penk who have netted 8 times each in all competitions.

This is a huge game for rangers who simply must keep the momentum going knowing that wins in the next two games could see them shed some daylight at the top of the table with the imminent arrival of Jarvis Brook to the sports park on the 28th November.
