It only takes a few moments to support a local charity that’s dear to your heart and here at thebestof Eastbourne, we’re delighted to provide this service for FREE. If you’re involved with a local charity that could use our help, just sign up to our CharityOfTheDay email list and we’ll do the rest. If you’d like to know more about how it all works before you do that, read on…
What is Charity of the Day?
So that we can help as many charities as possible, we write a new article every day about a different charity and post it to our blog - here’s a typical example Care for the Carers gets set for Carers Rights Day 2017. This raises awareness about the individual charity and helps generate donations and other offers of assistance. The article also includes a link to the charity’s page on our Community Hub like this one Care for the Carers so that people can find out more about them and the terrific work they do for the people of Eastbourne.
Each Charity of the Day gets
A post to Facebook, Instagramand Twitterwith a link back to their page in the Community Hub or relevant hashtags on Instagram. These posts are designed to be shared easily and spread the word. Remember as these link back to your Community Hub page be sure you have added your latest news and events to thebestof Eastbourne.
How Charities can get involved
If you work with a local charity and would like to be included as a Charity of the Day, please call David Ruddle here at thebestof Eastbourne on 01323 458125. Alternatively, add your details to our CharityOfTheDay email list and we’ll take it from there. (We’ll also be happy to tell you about our regular networking events and speaker opportunities, which can help to raise the profile of your charity even higher.)
How you can help
If you can’t donate, raise funds or volunteer for your favourite charity, you can still help them by re-tweeting or sharing any of our posts on Facebook or Twitter. These always include the hashtag #CharityOfTheDay, so search for that and you’ll find them. The more people who see these posts, the more support your charity is likely to receive.
