Children, families, community groups and business people are digging out their Christmas decorations to trim the Christmas Trees in Terminus Road as part of our Christmas Tree Competition 2018 at the Eastbourne Christmas Market.

Twenty trees, donated by The Bloom Factory will be available to decorate on Thursday 29th November in time for the Christmas Market when it opens on Friday 30th November.

The trees will be judged by Mrs Santa Claus with the Worshipful Mayor of Eastbourne Cllr Gill Mattock, and Stephen Lloyd MP on Saturday 1st December at 10.30am. Please contact us if you would like to decorate a tree.

Business Development Manager for the Eastbourne unLtd Chamber of Commerce Stephen Holt said “Already, we’ve had teams from Grafters, The East Beach Hotel, The Devonshire Collective, Embrace, Ditzy Media and Wyntercon all signing up to compete to win the prize for the of ‘Best Dressed Tree’.

“Unfortunately, we cannot return any decorations – so grannies 1920s baubles will need to stay at home! But it’s a great way to showcase your artistic flair and get involved in this year’s event.”

Ian Lucas from the Bloom Factory said “Twenty of our finest trees will be on display at the Christmas Market in Terminus Road. We love getting involved in the local community and we can’t wait to see your decorations!”

Stephen concluded, “There are only a limited number of trees left – so if you’d like to take part, sign up quick via the Eastbourne Christmas website www.eastbournechristmas.com or by emailing leanna.forse@gmail.com”.
