Wyntercon was a fantastic event and a great opportunity for like minded people to meet up and hang out. There was a huge selection of stalls selling all sorts of amazing things, including cake, not just any cake, but STUDIO GHIBLI CAKE!!
The cosplay there saw some amazing talent and being able to actually talk with some of the guys about costume was fantastic and I got loads of great ideas!
Can't wait for Wyntercon 2015!!
We usually attend similar events in london , we were very pleased that and event of this type was held in the south east , looking forward to this year :) The highlight for us was the Dr who photobooth and Meetin Mr Vader !! keep up the good work , see u at halloween :)

Such a cool event! So much more personal and non-corporate compared to similar conventions - you actually get a proper chance to chat to and mingle with the star guests! Perfect for kids and families too, WynterCon covers all the bases from comics to sci-fi to horror to steampunk, celebrity signings, movies, merchandise stalls and more.
I was given the opportunity to have a stall at Wyntercon and I'm so glad I did. People there were lovely and enthusiastic and the relationships I've been able to form as a result are priceless. Wyntercon can be seen as a networking event, a family weekend out, a chance to meet people with similar interests and best of all... a chance to show off your skills at making costumes and an opportunity to have a nosey at what everyone else is up to.
Really great fun, creative event with friendly people and the whole thing was very well organised andall the stewards were extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend this event for all ages and all species! You won't stand out by standing out - costumes were AMAZING! Especially the zombies :D
Fantastic event to bring to life the world of all things sci fi and fantasy. With an array of stalls, guests, gaming, movie and comic book zones this is an event to attract all ages and people of all backgrounds. Let your imagination come to life and experience this marvellous and most spectacular event!
took my children in cosplay costume which was fantastic. Seeing all the other people in cosplay made both my boys day. The gaming and laser quest were brilliant. Just wish I had more money with me. Just the event Eastbourne needs!!
Had best day ever was a late b day gift to myself brought my we and grankids to enjoy the day . Met lovely vijay and celebs and cosplay nice time i had in ages liking steam punk as well will be going again.
WynterCon was like a dream come true! It's filled with amazing and interesting things to see and do! ^^ I loved seeing everyone all dressed up as characters from Japanese Animation and Games and movies! Looking forward to the next one! this is what Eastbourne needed!
WynterCon 2014... The warmth oozed from this great new convention set in a lovely old theatre. It was great to see so many faces with smiles on from both traders and those attending. There was plenty of great stalls to browse in a very cosey and relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to WynterCon 2015
I loved that it was in such a nice venue (The Winter Gardens, Eastbourne) and the varied collection of stalls and activities. The guests were great; I was privelaged to to speak to and get the autograph of Dave Prowse; which made my weekend. The only complaint I have is that there was a mistake in the viewing times of the films so I missed a film I really wanted to see, although i suspect that was the cinema's error. I am looking forward to WynterCon 2015.
I very rarely go over to Eastbourne despite living in Hastings but Wyntercon doesnt just bring me to Eastbourne but it brings me and my dad together which is lovely because i dont have a strong relation with my parents. It not only brings me amd my dad together but through our love for the very famous Star Wars. We went last year dressed as X Wing Fighter Pilots in matching suits and it was the highlight of my year. I camt wait again to go this year! Thank you so much Wyntercon! :')
It was a privilege and a pleasure to be a guest author at the first WynterCon. The effort put it by the organisers was obvious in the diversity of exhibits, vendors and guests. The staff were always friendly and handled everything that came their way with a smile. It was great to see whole families wandering about, finding something for everyone. The beginning of a fine tradition, I hope.
It’s a conventional family like never seen before as the South Coast’s biggest sci-fi convention and registered charity, Wyntercon, returns in 2019 at a new home: Eastbourne Sports Park at East Sussex...
