Great cafe for breakfast baps, pasties, sandwiches and cakes to start a clifftop walk for gorgeous views. Staff are really friendly and helpful. You can eat indoors or outside to enjoy stunning views, also steps down onto the shingle beach. Visitor centre is good for local history and has a good 2nd hand bookshop.

Beautiful place to visit. If you're visiting during the winter months bring suitable footwear as it gets very wet and muddy. Parking is free for national trust members.

Amazing views of the cliffs. I recommend parking further up the cliff along the road and walk down to the national trust center.

What a marvelous view it is!
I won't forget the feeling forever that I breathed in and out here. It is totally different. It is like the first land where human was borned. It is an amazing experience to us. I really appreciate for National Trust to care here well.

The cliffs and walk is beautiful. However the car park maintained by national trust is horrible. Full of potholes and puddles. Charging 1.6 pounds per hour, where is that money going. Does it cost a fortune to tidy up the car up. It was so messy all over. Shame on these guys.

A bit muddy and car park overcrowded.
Very basic food in the cafe, but toilets are in good condition.

Good place to see the sunset. 25 mins walk to the bus stop at East Dean (no direct bus to Birling Gap on weekdays)

Spectacular views whether you choose to walk east towards Beachy Head and Eastbourne or west towards Seaport and Newhaven.

It was a normal blustery day. Lots of walkers and sightseers but what caught my eye were the 12 or so surfers . . . . in the water. The temperature must have been 10 below and there they were. I supported them by sipping a cup of tea 😇

Beautiful views, a lot of people there but spread out enough to not be a bother.
Cafe does some hot/cold drinks, quite expensive though.
Minimal signal, and car park machine only take change. Had to run to the hotspot to pay for the parking on the app.
£5 for the day though, bargain.
Coastguard are a friendly bunch too.
