We didn't read some of the reviews before we stayed due it being last minute, so yes its part way through a refurb, some of it looks ace, some of it still needs doing, but the value for money was brilliant, the customer service from the guy who checked us in to the breakfast staff was great, the room was big and clean and a nice bed, albeit a squeaky bunk bed for our boys in the other room, but we would stay again, you are always going to read terrible reviews but reading some if these they seem petty to me, we had a great stay and would recommend it to others and would definitely stay again, thanks West Rock Hotel team.

It's so easy to relax at this lovely seaside hotel, making it perfect for long (or short) walks along the promenade. It's relatively small and cosy with very friendly staff and comfortable rooms - I really like the food too!

our first visit to West Rocks and definitely won't be the last. we had a dog so had a dog friendly room, it was basic but clean and comfortable. Had ensuite, Tv, Tea and Coffee making facilities all you could need. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice, well cooked and presented. we are ours in the lounge area as we had the dog. which was fine. staff very friendly, welcoming and could not do enough for you. Great hotel cannot recommend it enough. All it needs is a dog sitting service and it would be 20/10. lol !

Wonderful Staff very attentive, food was so good and the cheese board was delicious. Beautiful hotel right on the seafront, just a 30 second walk across the road. The room were just right for our stay and the bed was very comfortable. I actually haven't got anything negative to say about my stay.

I came back to West Rocks for the 4th time. It really is the best place on this coast.
Super friendly staff, great bar & restaurant and relaxed places to hang out in the daytime.
I stayed in room 29 this trip, amazing sea view and almost as much storage space as my bedroom at home!
The Bathroom was spotless and this place does not suffer from low water pressure like some of its competitors.
I love the beach front cafe the owners have too!

Had a perfect stay at the west rocks hotel.
Hotel was clean tidy and quiet.
Will definitely stay again when I'm next in the area.

This might come a little late, but with Airbourne due again this Summer to Eastbourne I felt I must write a review on the fantastic West Rocks Hotel where my partner and I stayed for one night to watch this great tourist attraction last Summer!
I only live around the corner, but we wanted something special to watch the air show from. The West Rocks offered us a great first floor sea view room and what a view it was! The room was clean and tidy and we enjoyed great service at the bar for our stay - not to mention meeting the owner - what a charming man! All at a very reasonable cost. We would highly recommend this hotel all year round and we shall definately stay again.

Watched football here with friends and family. Very accommodating. Amazing fish and chips. Great location right opposite the beach! The drinks were very reasonable and we all had a great time! Thank you!

I love the fact that this is one of Eastbourne's original Victorian Seafront Hotels. The rooms have recently been refurbished to a very comfortable high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed twice in this lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff! Specially loved the West Rocks beach cafe right across the road with good coffee, snacks and Wine. Rooms are nice and clean with great sea views. Will definitely return to this hotel when I am next in Eastbourne.

Lovely friendly hotel. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard through out my stay. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The manager was great! Breakfast was fab! Couldn’t fault and would highly recommend The west rocks hotel! :)

Stayed a few nights. Was very happy with my stay my room was very clean i was also allowed to take my dog. Staff are helpful and polite will definitely return. They also have a dog friendly cafe/bar on the beach across the road wich served very nice coffee

We have to check out of room 17 and really don’t want to. Recently refurbished, it is spotless and the view is just amazing! We woke up to the sunrise over the sea.
Buffet breakfast was plentiful and fresh.
Staff welcoming. All in all highly recommended and we hope to be back soon. Thank you!

I have just spent 5 days on a lovely holiday at this hotel, and it is the most friendly, clean and best value stay I have had in a long time. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in Eastbourne. It was my first experience of a solo holiday and all the staff made it very easy for me.

Stayed here on a five day coach trip. The hotel is ideally situated on the seafront. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Dan deserves a special mention for his wonderful attitude to his work. The food was lovely with a good choice for the evening meal. Puddings home made and scrumptious. My room was spacious with a marvellous sea view. The bed was really comfortable with crisp clean bedding. Looking forward to staying here again soon.

We booked this hotel last minute for a two night stay over New Years Eve. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. The hotel had nice public areas and a bar area for drinks and food. We did not have have the evening meal at this hotel but the breakfast provided buffet style was very good. Our room had a sea view and was very clean. We had one issue with the water pressure but this was sorted once reported. I believe they are closed for two weeks now to upgrade some of the rooms and corridors.
It was also very good value for money we can highly recommend this place and would use West Rocks again when in Eastbourne.

Warm friendly hotel would recommend it and they also have a bar on the beach serving tea, coffee, beer and wine with light meals, cakes and pastries which was awesome being close to the sea but keeping warm in November we will definitely be back.

We I visited a few years ago I couldn't find any fault with the hotel. The staff and manager were very friendly and welcoming and the rooms were comfortable and tidy.
I would thoroughly recommend a stay here, and I hope to be back myself.

Lovely hotel. Nice room, comfortable soft bed. Buffet style breakfast with a nice choice for hot food. Friendly helpful staff. And we was allowed to leave our luggage on checkout so we didn't have to drag it around with us for the day.
