Was visiting family in Eastbourne for Christmas have been coming here for over 20 years but never stayed in this hotel till now and I’m glad I did , what a lovely hotel situated right on the seafront by the bandstand .
The reception, dining room and bar were to a lovely standard with a big Christmas tree in 😊
We had a double room with a bath , we couldn’t complain about anything , the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever stayed in and the pillows were lovely too , everyday clean towels, bed made etc and a stunning view from our room.
Had breakfast aswell great buffet choice , and really well cooked lovely breakfast.
Overall a really great experience , staff and management all helpful and friendly would definitely recommend this hotel in fact I’ve booked it already for August and we got our same room again

I came back to West Rocks for the third time. It really is the best place on this coast.
Super friendly staff, great bar & restaurant and relaxed places to hang out in the daytime.
I stayed in room 29 this trip, amazing sea view and almost as much storage space as my bedroom at home!
The Bathroom was spotless and this place does not suffer from low water pressure like some of its competitors.
I’ll be back ... especially after I heard that the owners have just taken over a cafe on the beach too!

I visited the west rocks hotel in November 2017.
It was a great weekend. I would definitely recommend it.
Good value for money.

Staying there has certainly helped me shake off some of my winter blues!
My bed was so amazingly comfy and the pillows so soft.

Decorated and furnished in many a carefully chosen hue.
I didn't want to leave, sadly on Monday it was my time to go.
I left feeling a little sad, but also with a lovely warm glow!
I'll be back in March for a visit, if not before.

Well what can I say about our weekend at West Rocks, we were promptly greeted by friendly staff in a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel was clean and tidy with a generously sized room with a view of the sea.
Staff were always on hand and happy to help. Delicious meals added to our experience as did the drink prices behind the bar which didn't break the bank.
We shall definitely be returning here in the future :)

From the moment we walked through the hotel doors on Friday afternoon we were warmly welcomed by the hotels friendly staff, shortly after checking in we went up to our room which far exceeded our expectations, with a stunning sea view, a huge bathroom and the most comfortable bed in the middle of a spacious room.
The generous portions of food provided for dinner and breakfast were superb and kept us going for what turned out to be one of the top weekends of the year.
Thank you West Rocks Hotel for having such friendly staff that were there to look after us right through the weekend, we will definitely be coming back.

Outstanding service from all the staff, lovely clean towels and breakfast, really has character with each room being different, lovely sea views across the south coast, will certainly be returning soon.

Firstly. What a lovely team of people who work here. They were all very helpful and tried to make our time there as comfortable as possible.
The hotel is lovely. It's clean and the decor is nice . The bed was really comfy. Can't really complain about any of it.
Eastbourne is beautiful. It's really well looked after and clean. No sand on Tue beach tho. I can recommend this hotel. We will definitely come back next time we are visiting Eastbourne

My second long weekend at West Rocks this year. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Very reasonable bar prices. Good location for Eastbourne Pier, beach , local shops and amenities.

West rocks is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The room was spacious and comfortable with a powerful shower and amazing sea views. Staff there are polite and very informative about the surrounding area where you find pubs,restaurants and a nice peir too. The beach was clean and just across the road so you can hear the waves on the shore from your room , pretty romantic. The hotels food was also very good and the bar was reasonably priced, if you can stay here then do it , you won't be disappointed.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very yummy. Room 26 was clean, spacious and big room with a Seaview. I would visit this hotel again. The event in the hotel was well managed and i had a very enjoyable time.

Just got back from a totally amazing weekend at Westrocks. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and Tidy and we were made so welcome. I'll definately be back next year. A huge thank you to all the to all the team 😃😃😃😃

Just got home from a fabulous weekend at the the West Rocks hotel. The room was superbly comfortable and clean, with a lovely hot shower and views of the sea. We had lovely cooked breakfast each morning, provided by the excellent and very understanding team.
We were there for an extra special event which didn't disappoint and this lovely hotel in Eastbourne is just the perfect location for it.

Our first time at this hotel and what an amazing birthday weekend for my partner... Our room (42) had panoramic views across the shore line, so waking up each morning in a large double bed, fresh clean towels and to beaming sunshine, followed by a hearty full fresh English breakfast and filtered coffee really impressed us... Nothing was to much trouble and the staff were attentive and welcoming all weekend. Daily parking was only a pound a day via the hotel so exploring and adventures were in abundance..
So impressed we have already planned a return visit in March! #welovehardhouse

I had great stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, had a great view of the sea and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely be returning for a 3rd time. Parking was not an issue, we could buy reasonably priced parking permits where the car was safe all weekend.

I love this hotel. Its is so friendly ,clean and breathtaking views. The staff remembered me which was nice. The breakfast was great and an evening meal in the restaurant was very reasonable and tasted great.

Had room 30 which gave magnificent views of the sea, I woke up every morning to the sound of the sea lapping the beach.
Clean facilities, crisp linen and clean white towels.
Excellent staff.
Breakfast is hot and plentiful with a good veggie choice for me as a non meat eater.
I am counting down until my next stay in March.

Room was basic at back of hotel. Cleaned every day and given new towels. No nets on ground floor window which meant we had to have curtains closed whenever in the room. Avoid on a Tuesday night if you want good sleep - the hotel next door has a very very loud salsa class until 11pm. Not too noisy otherwise. Staff friendly. Parking permits available do £2 per day from desk. Ok for the price but would have been better with nets on windows. Window lock was also broken - not ideal for a downstairs window!

Had one night here. Staff very friendly.the room was a triple and small but very clean.the hot water wasn't working so couldn't have a shower or bath but this was adjusted on our bill .The breakfast was very nice. The hotel is on the seafront and near the theatres .

We stayed for 2 night at West Rocks Hotel in Eastbourne over the weekend to celebrate my partners birthday.
Fixtures and fittings in the hotel were fine, and it was clean and tidy. Which most people would be fine with.
But sadly we wasn’t overly impressed with our stay.
Annoyingly our room had doors and windows that rattled all night. Although this wasn’t helped by the windy weather, there should be more thought about whether this will happen in such circumstances.
It kept me and my partner up with the constant banging, rattling and a draft blowing through our room.
The curtains weren’t black out, they left the room bright at all hours so another reason to not being able to sleep as well as we would have liked.
Around the wash basin which was situated in our room was a damp leak. The wallpaper bubbled due to water coming through the building again due to the rough weather we was experiencing over the weekend. Something that definitely needs to be looked at.
Just a thought our room also had an extremely small bathroom. That just about catered a toilet and a small shower. This can’t be helped due to the size of the bathroom you wouldn’t be able to physically fit anything else in there.
But it’s worth speaking about if future Guests are going to expect a larger wash room.
Alas the staff were friendly and welcoming and our dog was also very happily welcomed. Which helped a great deal.

I have chosen this hotel due to fantastic TripAdvisor reviews, but it is nowhere near as good as the reviews claim. The 'seaview' room on the bottom floor had nothing to do with the seaview. I do not appreciate being mislead by the information given. We couldn't even argue to get a different room as the girls at the reception looked at me as if I am asking a stupid question, plus it was the bank holiday so everything was booked out.
Cracked ceiling and broken toilet seat were just cherries on the top. The only nice thing was breakfast and coffee and evening shift staff. Eastbourne is a great place and I will be back but certainly not to West Rocks. The hotel across the road looked far better than that.

We stayed at the West Rocks hotel overnight with friends. The hotel was booked on line so we weren't sure what to expect but found a lovely little hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. The public areas and bar are nice - apart from the wobbly tables in the latter - and the view from the bar and our rooms was great. The West Rocks is much smaller than some of the other hotels along the same stretch of the promenade but we think this made it even nicer. The rooms are a wee bit dated but the bed was very big and comfy. A problem with the hot water (or lack of it) was managed really well and dealt with promptly by Ian and his team and we really felt they put the guests first. We've already decided we'll definitely be making a return visit and for a little longer next time round.

I went to Eastbourne to see the Fireworks, and propose to my Fiancee! The hotel was clean and tidy with very welcoming staff. Our room, a budget room, was at the back of the hotel and did not have a view (except a blank wall) but as I said it was a budget room! The town was very busy, and there was a food and wine event on in the hotel restaurant area, which all added to the enjoyment! Yes the hotel is NOT the most modern, but at the price we paid we were hardly expecting the Hilton! Our en suite was "cozy" but as a 6'3" and 20 stones disabled person I still found room to shower in the modern and comfortable facilities. The bed was on a par with anything I have slept in anywhere else, and though one guest had problems negotiating the stairs, after partying all night, we had no disturbances from others. I found a slight problem with the location of the newly fitted loo roll holder in the bathroom, which was quickly addressed by the manager when I pointed it out in the morning. It is unfortunate for the Hotelier that, as a listed building, the modernisations planned are being blocked at every step by the local council.Would we go again? YES, (we have already booked!) Oh and the proposal?.. She said "YES!!!"

Great location right on the seafront. Nice downstairs area, with rooms that we could go with our dog (not the restaurant), and had a very nice breakfast on our own in the attractive lounge overlooking the seafront, with our dog. Also were able to take him into the nice cosy wine bar. Room was on the small side and a bit disappointing as it overlooked the back. However clean and fine for a night. Peeped in a room overlooking the front and this was large and attractive so probably worth paying more if not travelling with a dog! Nice friendly guy on reception who gave us a good recommendation for a dog friendly pub. Best to book direct as got breakfast included in price.
