This is an exquisite 5 star hotel, everything about this place is excellent, from the moment you arrive, it is wonderful, the building and decor is superb kept immaculate. The service is as it should be, perfect. The mirabelle restaurant, delivers on all levels, great food wonderfully presented! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, go there if you can!

We had a wonderful stay at The Grand we have stayed a few times before. It’s an amazing hotel, with good facilities and the staff are so friendly and always happy to help. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I did however find the bed was very flat on one side of the mattress as if too many people had sat on the edge it had collapsed slightly. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Excellent experience which lives up to name 'Grand'. Superb service from polite and customer-oriented staff. Seasonally decorated which adds to the overall pleasure of a Christmas visit, Will certainly repeat this next year, as in previous 5 years.

Once again we have had a lovely stay at the Grand Hotel. The service was wonderful and we will definitely look at staying again next Christmas. This does however depend on the price as looking at next year it seems to have increased by about £50 which happened this year as well. This is a real shame as soon it will become unaffordable for us to keep coming as a family.

Our first time staying here, and wow was it worth it! This is a genuine 5 star experience from the moment you pull up in front of this magnificent hotel. The service throughout is friendly and knowledgeable, , including reception and the bar, the mirabelle restaurant is excellent, and the staff first class! Would recommend this hotel every time!

The winter offer is very good value and we love this hotel for its traditional courtesy to the customer and also for the superb comfort of the lounges which very few hotels can better. The Garden Room Restaurant food was excellent, all served promptly by courteous and attentive staff.

The hotel is nice and for me is the best in the area. Not as expensive as you may think. So before you choose one on the sea front, come here spend a few quid more and you were certainly be rewarded. It has a pool, nice bar, good parking, great food and much more. For me it was £10 per night more (£30 including breakfast). and i was more relaxed the following day.

This hotel just gets better. The newly refurbished Mirabelle restaurant is better than ever and the Garden restaurant is still as great as it always has been. The quality of staff is unsurpassed, the bedrooms are constantly being updated and the overall feel of the place is unique.

We booked the Grand for my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. Hubby and I went down a day ahead of the others and booked the presidential suite! Although it was a bit dated it was huge and impressive. We loved the balcony even though it tipped down with rain most of the time. We hosted a small party in our room which was perfect. We tried both restaurants and they were equally good. Really excellent value for money and superb food and service. Breakfast was also good and my husband particularly enjoyed the kippers. Having spent the previous weekend at the Savoy in London it was easy to compare. The Grand beat the Savoy hands down for rooms, service, value and food and drink offering. Cocktails were excellent! The only thing that the Savoy had was location. I woukd recommend staying at the Grand fir a special occasion. We felt very special and it was worth every penny.

We arrived on the Sunday and everyone was very polite and friendly. The hotel seemed to be quite before the Christmas rush. We had a lovely room although it was at the back of the hotel. The hotel wasn’t full so thought they could have put us in to a room at the front as it was quite. The food was amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Spent a bit of time in the spa which was clean. I can’t fault this hotel at all.

The accommodation was booked by a Friend for our Wedding Night, it was amazing and we definitely would recommend to anyone who wishes for somewhere special to stay after the Wedding celebration. Thank you Grand Hotel and Staff for a lovely experience.

Disappointment,as the evening was for a celebration with friends and we found the food was not to the standard of a 5 star hotel. This applies to the food for the dinner dance and the breakfast the next morning which was tepid and the selection was poor..

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted well. car parked for us. First class evening with excellent service and food in Mirabelle restaurant, then dancing to live resident band.in the lounge. Great room for over night stay

The hotel is grand and worthy of its 5* rating. The staff could not be more helpful and the food in the restaurants was great. Being 5* means there is a price tag to match but it was worth it for a special occasion. The food and service in the Mirabelle restaurant is fantastic. True silver service and a pianist made it all the more special. We weren't able to make use of the spa or fitness centre but it looked great though the pool was a little small.Afternoon tea looked good but we had a bit of came and coffee. The cake was a little disappointing and the coffee very small for the price.

Laughable water pressure on walk-in shower, unusable, plumbing of taps on bath poor as water sprayed onto wall and floor, French doors in living room let water into the room when it rained.Staff excellent, food and drinks great.

As I said the main purpose of our visit was to go to the dinner dance with a live band and be able to dance. A lady, very unfortunately, fell on the dance floor and was injured so we missed the main hour of the band playing when we would have been dancing. Extremely sorry for such a freak accident to happen but sad it made us miss the main purpose of,our stay with you.

Went to one of their Xmas joint parties, priced at £59.95 this was a trip with friends. Had the salmon for staters which was ok, nothing special presentation was basic with a lot of lettuce!. Main course was served and was not hot, this was the same for the entire table. I had the turkey and there was not a huge amount & only one pig in blanket. Brussels were half cooked and there was not a huge amount for a meal.

Value for me I would struggle to agree with, the service was very good & staff were attentive.

Would I go again, maybe ?

Beautiful location and view of the sea. Excellent and polite and effectient staff. Disappointed with vegetarian food, tasting menu overpriced. We felt that Chefs do not understand that fish is not vegetarian

Stayed just one night in a standard room and had a great stay.
It lived up to its stars and reputation with great public spaces and service.
It's just a shame we were in Eastbourne with things to do and so did not have the time to fully experience the hotel and all its facilities.
We had rm 149- at the back- a very nice room with a great bed and comfortable space for two easy chairs, and all the facilities you need. The bathroom had a shower in the bath.
We thought we had no a/c as it was just a standard room, but when I enquired on checking out I was told no rooms had a/c. In Dec no a/c was not a serious issue but we had hesitated to have the window open during the night for some fresh air incase the road outside was busy/noisy in early morning. As it was it was we could have done so, as it was quiet.
A great breakfast, especially the cooked options, though the continental buffet did not live up to expectations- the only cheese being baby bon belles and only one cold meat
Just one issue - info. I found the hotel website particularly non-illuminating and the rooms too lacked general info about hotel facilities.
Would very happily return, though might avoid high season.

A fantastic three-night break, during which we hosted various 60th birthday celebrations for which family and friends joined us. Our room, the staff, the dining, and the check-in and check-out experiences were all as you would expect from a 5-start hotel - we loved it and will certainly return.

A delightful hotel and our stay was wonderful.

One small warning is that, if you want fried eggs for breakfast, then you need to order them at the table - the buffet has only scrambled eggs.
